I've had mine for two-weeks now and haven't found a bad thing about it yet. The gesture navigation takes some getting use to but now I wouldn't do without. There is no NFC either but if you can live without that it's an awesome phone. I am getting 2 to 2 1/2 days on the battery!

I have the G7 power I would like to have the G8 power but my G7 power is so good I don't have any reason but I know how get it maybe next year

Do you have any problems with Wifi connection? Every time I place my hand at the top of he phone to watch landscape video wifi and data drops like two to three bars.

I just bought one last night it's November 29th and I should be getting it by December 2nd 2020 and this video sure made me feel better about it because I seen one made it look like a joke and this video really make me more happier hope everything turns out all right

I was eyeing this phone for ages but this made me go ahead and buy it and I don't use 4g and also I'm used to a plastic back on a phone so I would love to get it I'm currently saving up for it for the end of July thanks for making a good solid review on it!

IMO the Moto G8/9 Power range need a substantially toughened case (or screen if possible). They are so heavy the phone is particularly vulnerable to cracks and shattering if dropped which is inevitable. I had a protective case but still cracked. I only had mine 6 months so gutted. The screen then starred from wear and tear. They are good phones but I'd advise buying a very strong case plus thin screen protector film and protective glass over that. 🍀😱

I found this. The phone is heavy so it hits the ground hard when it falls. My old moto g6 is light by comparison I have dropped it many times no issues. I dropped my g8 power once and the screen shattered

People if your buying this phone for the camera or maybe for gaming.then its not for you. I bought it because I want a decent phone with great battery that handles day to day. For me In particular its been awesome. I play cod mobile for hours not as fluid as flagship but come-on for the price its great. Stereo speaker are awesome. Nice modern hole punch design. Flagships are awesome with the hundreds of feature they offer but cant last the day And also they cost around 1000.00. its unnecessary if you switch every couple of years like I do.

Love the big battery of G8, but found out G8 doesn't support Miracast, so can only cast to TV with Chromecast, which requires a router. I can't cast since I have no router, I use my unlimited mobile data instead of wasting hundreds of $ per year on internet provider. Was able to cast with old phone that supports Miracast with Netgear Push2TV. Wish Chromecast didn't require a router, stupid limitation. Returning it for a phone that supports Miracast. Why not support Miracast? Ha! Google acquired Motorola in 2015. So requiring Google Chromecast to be able to cast to TV forces G8 users to buy Chromecast. What a surprise!

Even the WiFi modem is slower than most phones out there these. Having no 5ghz is a strange way to cut costs too. Thanks mate.

Can someone answer a question, that I notice others have alluded to. My old moto g6 picks up the wifi anywhere in the house, whereas my g8 power only picks up wifi in the room with the router and the room next to it. It's chewing up my data fast. Are there any fixes for this? It's definitely not the router as I went back to my old phone temporarily while having the screen fixed, no issues with the range anywhere in the house

These budget/mid range phones are incredblie when it comes to value for money, but I always wonder how Motorola are able to charge £220 retail asking price compared to say a high end Samsung retailing at £600/£700, there's got places where Motorola are cutting corners, like signal reception maybe? Using lower quality parts, so the 4G/wifi being weak

Yes the range is really poor. It's not my router - did you find a fix for this. I have tried disconnecting etc many times

Hi, so I have this moto G8 Power but there's this one thing that bugs me. Every time I clean the back with cloth I hear a very subtle clicking noise coming from the side of the rear camera and the side of phone it really makes me think about a camera lens moving inside its housing. Does yours do same its not a loud noise but its like the back of the phone clicks in that area

Does it have all the bands for your network? maybe one or two of the bands are missing and that is the reason for the low speed on 4G LTE?

Ive had th phone for around a month. Has some studders while gaming compared to flagships but totally playable for hours. Since its practically stock Android it real smooth with the gesture control. Remeber has a snapdragon 665 and 4 gig of ram its mid to budget phone youtubers cant be asking for so much. I think its a good all round phone for the price

@@raviv4448 yes has a little delay due to the snap dragon 665 processor compared to 8 series chips. But feels smooth with the stock Android interface. But does not feel laggy

Does it get better signal quality than the G7 power? That was the only real weak point of that device. After watching I see it still has the poor modem quality. I really wish they'd fix that 😔

I'd avoid it and get the US version for full compatibility. My mom got a moto g7 international which has the same network bands as the gpower international and she loses signal and doesnt receive all calls

@@eldi03rin You are correct, they are not the same. Just similar in multiple cameras, graphics processor, chipset, RAM and ROM, battery size. Realme has announced May upgrade on this phone to Android 10, Motorola may do upgrade as well.

It's a nice phone with great battery but higher res screen does deplete the 5000mah faster. Also, no NFC nor 5GHz WiFi got me to send it back and get Google Pixel 2xl for same price.

I also found the signal strength on the g7power ( using sky sim card ) it was so bad it was unusable, Amazon wouldn't return it. Changed phone to the Samsung m30s and no problems.

Poor 4G due to the modem in G Power is lower tier than Pixel 3XL. G Power most likely 2x2 mimo, where as 3XL has 4x4 mimo.
