Motorola Moto G8 Power | Unboxing & Tour

Unboxing the Motorola Moto G8 Power, plus a full tour of the specs, quad lens camera tech, and Android 10 UI. Undoubtedly the Moto G8 Power is going to be one of the best budget smartphones of 2020, thanks to its huge 5000mAh battery, smart features and cheap £230 UK asking price. But is it your next mobile? Here's an in-depth hands-on to help you decide, ahead of my full review.
Motorola is still a champion of budget blowers and the G8 Power looks like a smart evolution of the older G7. You get the same enormous battery, plus a FHD+ IPS display and stereo speaker setup like the G8 Plus. Definitely a strong setup for any media lovers. Likewise, the Snapdragon 665 chipset and 4GB RAM means smooth (ish) performance on the cheap.
I'm also going to be fully testing that fresh camera hardware ahead of my Moto Power review. There's an ultra wide angle and telephoto lens, for full flexibility - although no night mode sadly.
The lack of NFC aside, the Moto G8 Power is looking like one of Motorola's best smartphones ever, certainly providing excellent value for money. Check out my comparison vs the Plus, coming straight after this unboxing goes live!

Keep that G8 power battery life not as good the rest of the phone is good. My 1 year old g7 still has better battery life. It's a really good phone but I am used to a beast in the g7 power and this I am afraid is not hope this helps. Still good battery life but I was expecting it to be about the same as my g7 nowhere near maybe I have a faulty one I don't know but 33% 5 pm ???

Does the phone have a compass? With older models like the moto g5 it didn't have a compass so when using google maps the map would always point north instead of where you are pointing your phone. I found that very annoying whenever I found myself in a foreign city.

Im using moto e4 since (2 years will be completed on 12th may) it is working great! Had a problem when it got on my hand, like heating up when it was charging and turned off in sunlight but then, all things become smooth 😅

I am guessing the G7s battery will last longer as the screen has a lower resolution and it has (I think) a less powerful chipset.
