You can extend content on the outer screen to full screen if you swipe up from the bottom as if you were going to switch to another open app. From there you'll see a button that says full screen. This extends every app to completely cover that outer screen which is even better!

Yep! Takes a couple of tries depending on the app but it does help a little!

I ordered this. Used this for few days. I like the design and the inner display is gorgeous. Yeah the hinge feels kinda loose and.. cant find the word for it. I dont know if i like the outer display, its a little too big for me. Calling is a bit weird. Should i hold the phone just from the sides and no index finger in the back display for support? That's my main problem, how easy will this thing break? For the price of 1199€ is bit rich for me to find out, so i return it. Maybe the normal version is better for me? i dont know. Assuming we get it here.

I'm on the edge about getting this phone. I don't really need it, but... kinda want it :P On the hinge, might not be a bad thing it feels different than the Flip 4, the Samsung hinge had a lot of issues last year (getting stuck in a fixed position, shifting of the hinge, so the phone would no longer open, sensitive to fall damage, to name some) and as the screen was integrated with the hinge, a damaged hinge pretty much meant the phone was a write off and Samsung seems to be/have been very unwilling to cover it under warranty. Maybe they made it a bit rigid.

This device even though it's a folding device, reminds me so much of the Moto edge 30 fusion same viva magenta color. It just doesn't flip or possess a huge outer display on the device. In my honest opinion, that device is a huge underrated device that never got the attention that it deserved. These days when flagships are too heavy, not enough ram, sometimes power and performance is a issue, The edge 30fusion has plenty of power and performance lightweight 12Gigs of ram if you buy the version off Motorola website not to be rambling specs but it was a real decent performer and every time when I see the motor razor plus it reminds me of the edge. 30. Fusion Motorola has been doing a decent job lately with their devices.

@katinasutherlandwhited5578 The HW has been solid as a daily phone. I did recently had a software issue where my main screen stopped displaying, and I got a replacement phone via Samsung Care instead of a repair

All smartphone cameras are crap when you are used to using real cameras. It's all relative. You're not going to get an art piece out of any smarphone camera, so long as it's there to capture "in the moment" personal events the quality doesn't matter as long as you can tell what's going on. If I want phitis that aren't total shit, I bring along a heavy camera bag. You can't beat physics with AI.

Always wear my phone's naked but yes the moto RAZR plus is a very nice looking phone. Not sure if Samsung can top that. Have to wait and see. Moto did do the grease always better then Samsung did have to give them that. So moto also offers the same updates Samsung offers? That's great. Google really as the android maker should offer the most just saying.

My hinge broke on day 3. The proximity sensor was broken right out of the box. Software issues as well. Returned it on the 4th day. I work for a cellular company and I'm very disappointed.

@@StevealiciousTech the final overall failure was it just flopped closed, no tension at all. If it wasn’t sitting perfectly straight at a 90 degree angle, it fell open or closed. It felt loose right out of the box. I have the Z Flip 3 and 4 and neither feel even loose at all in any way. I had high hopes for this phone. My unit wasn’t a promo unit or direct from Motorola, so it was a normal production unit. Those all don’t get checked closely like the demo units do. I hope the next one doesn’t have any issues. I sent the Motorola rep a text letting them know what happened.

@@StevealiciousTech When you go to the device help in settings, then run the diagnostics, when you come to the proximity sensor, it asks “Does the icon change when you pass your hand over the top of the phone?”, when I pass mine over it absolutely nothing changes or anything. If yours changes, what does it do. I can click yes and it put the check like it passes, but it does nothing. All the other tests, the actual icon changes or checks itself automatically. So my 2nd one is failing also. But as I said, I can make it say yes by clicking on it, but it doesn’t change. Can you test yours and let me know?

Mine got so hot(50⁰C). I had to return it. It got that hot while in my pocket and not being used at all. It got that hot while streaming music and while trying to customize the cover screen. So sad because I liked the phone.

I don't think the games are bloatware. While not vital to the experience, is something they advertise and something that is used to show off the external screen. My only gripe, which I'm prepared to be disappointed with, is if they put ads in the games. With how expensive this is, 5 small easy games should not have ads.

Only let down is software support. With Motorola, you're lucky to get a year or maybe two at most. That's why most people find the Z-Flip to be the most appealing, because you get at least 3-4 years of support.

Several phones still waiting for their Android 13 updates and none of the tablets have even been touched yet. Still like Moto phones though, currently using the X40 imported from China, first big slate that I actually find comfortable to hold and it's nice and light to boot.

These flip phones are a step backwards. Why on earth would anyone want to keep flipping open their phone to use it? Even with the external screen being larger and "usable" is just as dumb. Why would I use the smaller external screen when it takes 0.00001 seconds to just open the phone? So, why have a flip phone at all? There is a reason you almost never see anyone with a these newer flip phones. It's just a temporary novelty that will die down at some point soon.

I like that foldables protect the display. But then they started putting full-size screens on the outside. 🫤 But yeah, I've been watching other KZbinrs raving about using this thing closed all the time. Even raving about the typing experience on a screen half the size of the Galaxy Fold's (which they complain about). People have seriously lost sight of the fact that foldables are supposed to be unfolded.
