Woah.. you def need to bump up. My first moto was the g7 power 2019. Once that 2020 g stylus came out I upgraded right away. Now have the 5g stylus 2022 and miss the duel speakers. But the speakers in general are a lot better now. Maybe get one of the previous edge's that has a snap dragon.

There is a way to have always on display, you can set the screen saver to display a clock while it's charging, it works on my Moto g53 5g.

I was going to grab the Moto Thinkphone until I saw the US version. Oh the only other difference is the US version Edge Plus 2023 has 68 watts fast charge bit everything else is the same. Really doesn't make any sense that moto released a US version when this one was global. Shit just doesn't make any sense. Then name a totally different name. It's still a beast!

I've had Samsung phones since Galaxy S3 and decided to give a chance to Motorola and bought a Edge 30 Fusion. Seriously, I'm fascinated with this phone. I didn't know how good it's to have such a good battery and to charge like 10min and being good to go. Probably I'll buy another Motorola phone after this one.

Great review Floss! I am about to pick up the US version of this beast Moto Edge Plus 2023 Interstellar Black. About the only difference is the US model has a 5100mahp battery Base and only storage it comes with is 512gb. Only questionable weakness is it comes with 8gs of RAM instead of 12gs. A spec beast for only $599.99. I'm grabbing mine at best buy that they actually have in stock and I found one open box excellent for $474.99!!!! Picking it up on Friday. Can't wait!!!

@JB NC Yes that long screen is slightly bothering but nice for watching some cinematic content, if you have a tablet you can use it for other things and let the Sony be your Camera/social media/calling/messaging device, it's great, and still has the 3.5 headphone jack, MicroSD card support, full screen without notch or punch hole camera, wireless charging, AOD, IP68 water, and dust resistance, very flagship specs

I miss when Motorola made cool looking phones. The moto X's were so cool to me when I was younger and the Z series was less cool but still more unique than other phones. Honestly 2015-2017 were the glory years for phones. After that it's just kinda all the same. Glass back, metal frame, etc. I miss metal and rubber phones, htc used to make cool phones too.

To all who don't know. Law enforcemt across the country have been using Motorola products for over fifty years. They demand the absolute best in superior quality and ease of use and the lowest level price. I have a lot of relatives and friends that have been using Motorola cell phones for the longest times because of the unparalleled build quilty sound quality, security and apps they use. Granted they are using a security service on their phones the rest of us can't get. But it's a great phone at a very reasonable price.

If you still have this phone, can you check if the camera has problems with the shutter speed. Apparently, there is a problem with taking a couple of quick pictures. Motorola does not have such a good price in Europe. And they are very bad for updates., but this phone looks very good. You speak a little too fast for some of us, but you are an excellent reviewer.

People complain about there not being enough phone updates with Motorola... But that's exactly why I buy Motorola phones because I don't like all those updates I like my phone stock out-of-the-box straight from the factory... And a lot of times when these companies update your phone they give you some updates you don't want... Completely change your UI... The only thing good about updates is security. I can't think of another Android company where the phones run so reliably well without the freezing. My only problem with Motorola phones is they never have NFC.

@@devilkazumi578 S20 Ultra is the kind of phone I wouldn't get even if it was being given away for free. Samsung really took a big risk with it and it didn't pay off. But it's almost like that with them, they make a leap, fail miserably, and then they fix it with the next generation. S20U < S21U, S22U < S23U, S24U also seems to have some issues that the big tech channels don't yet talk about, mostly with display quality.

This phone has a Snapdragon Sound chip so you need to pair it with TWS buds that have Snapdragon Sound software or chip. I've been using Vivo TWS 3 Pro with dedicated chip and the aptx lossless codec can upscale to lossless over Bluetooth. It's the minimum of lossless but worth every penny when you pair a phone and TWS buds with SS aptx tech.

This phone looks like a badass beast but there are a few things that would hold me back from buying it. The first thing is bad call quality because each Motorola phone I've owned has had very bad reception and sound on calls. I had the Moto G Power from 2020 and now I have the Edge 2022 and both are bad on calls and that's a deal breaker because I need a smartphone that actually functions as a phone. The second issue is a sketchy update policy because my Edge 22 has been stuck in the February 2023 security patch for a month or two and it's been on Android 12 since I bought it with no upgrade to Android 13. I bet this phone won't have Android 13 until well after Android 14 is on all Pixel and Galaxy phones. Everything on this phone looks excellent but I'm wondering what the US price will be if this is rebranded as the Motorola Edge Plus 2023? If it's the same price as the Motorola Edge Plus 2022, it'll be $899 at launch and that way TGH 😂

I'm a current owner of a G power 2022 and while the call quality is fine for me, sometimes it is WAY too quiet. This results in me using speakerphone. But wait, if I'm on speakerphone the mic doesn't work. I'm sure I can find a fix but it is definitely annoying.

I live in N California in a rural area with mountains and I have TMobile. Some of those Chinese phones won't work very well because they don't have bands 66-71. They're slower but they cover a bigger area so they're more stable where I live. NFC and 5 GHz Wi-Fi may not be supported either. If I lived in the city I wouldn't worry about it. 💯🇺🇸
