Jimmy needs a bit more self esteem. He’s always so nice and he always underestimates himself. It’s a really nice bloke but you need to be a bit cocky and egoistic when you are a racing driver.

What he lacks in self-esteem outwardly, he makes up for in determination and self-confidence. He doesn't want to be that stereotype. If he can get the job done the way he's always been- a genuine, down to earth guy- he proves that stereotype is a joke. He hasn't won anything or done anything to deserve the swagger yet either, and I think he knows that more than anyone.

@@naj_z It was his first race? Self esteem isn't built overnight. He had the fastest lap in Praga for both races, sounds confident enough to me.. Being cocky is literally worthless quality in a person. Unless you're maybe a rockstar. The free solo climber Alex Honnold for example is super humble and nice. What in racing takes being "cocky" that free climbing doesn't? I don't know why anyone with negative personality trait would race better. You need courage yeah, but it has nothing to do with being cocky.

The MW cam is so much more steady. I can't think of a better personality for Jimmy to be paired with than a champion eager to help him learn and grow. They have an adorable dynamic outside of the car too!

@@owenatkin3148 My guess is that MW's equipment has some sort of steady rig, because they are geared for these shots. Jimmer and Steve (I guess he was camera man again) aren't geared for that (yet). Give them a bit of time and they'll learn from MW :-D

What amazed me was, in both races, Jimmy had the fastest lap for the car! Granted, fuel, cold tires and lots of safety cars didnt help Jem's laptimes.... but still! Im pumped AF for this season. Godspeed Goldie!! Edit: safety tires? 😆

Well Jem is hardly 'grizzled' lol, but yeah, she is showing Jimmy-the-kid the ropes at the OK Corral, and it looks like it's settling into great teamwork. Wishing both Jem and Jim the very best of luck and hoping 4th place in the first race of the season will lead to a well placed podium by the end of the season or even season's champions

A female racing champion and a guy who arrived at racing by the "wrong" route is a definitely something we need more of in motorsport. For a pair of drivers in their first race together, in their first season in the Praga car, fourth is an absolutely outstanding result and I think it's great that Jem has laid down that podium target. I will admit, I came here with Jimmy, but staying for both Jem and Jimmer, I can't wait to see how the pair of them do and hope to see Jem go far in her career, she certainly seems to have all the right ingredients to make whatever series is the dream into a reality. In fact, the only frustration is how hard it is to find any actual coverage or highlights of Britcar, even in the UK (And living only an hour from Silverstone itself!).

Not gonna lie, I'm here because I watch Jimmy Broadbent content, and originally I was just excited to see another sim racer in a real car to see what he could do. However, I'm now subbed here too and one of the nicest things about this season is that I now know more about Jem and some of the other Praga drivers, and more about the team, the company and Praga's history. Keep up the great work Jem and keep up the cool content MW! (It doesn't go unnoticed that the reigning champ is very supportive of her Rookie teammate. He's fast, just needs some stamina in his locker)

Idk why I didn't subscribe after the last vid but that's definitely fixed now. The only reason I'm here is because of Jimmy but Jem is amazing in every way and I will continue to follow her after this season. Also, it'll probably be ruined shortly after I mention it but 1.4K likes vs 0 dislikes is by far the highest ratio I've ever seen. Can't say I'm a fan of loud background music on videos and I like it even less on motorsport videos. Just muddles the sound of the cars and it's a bit much in our ears. Great video. How does each driver adapt to the seat? I've seen in other videos Jem & Jimmy are approximately the same height but not the same _width_. Does Jim drive like in a tuna can? Or Jem must tighten the seat belts and that's all?
