Yes and no. I am a history professor, and I do know a lot of stuff, but preparation before a lecture can make it seem like I have a photographic memory. You can tell Steve goes through that preparation process because he goes into his clearly impressive personal archive and brings magazines and advertisements with the information he wants to share. I am not saying he isn't brilliant, just that with some passion, organization, and hard work, lots of people could be as brilliant.

Steve Magnante is in my opinion the world's best Automotive Anthropologist. He can tell you everything about a car from just its "bones" alone. Junkyard Gold was the best show on Motortrend for those who truly appreciate automotive history. Steve is what makes Barrett Jackson Auctions watchable. Rattles off facts as fast as the auctioneer rattles off bids. Get well soon Steve, can't wait to see you back.
