I actually own one of these. It has currently 234,000 miles and runs great. The only thing that needs done to it is a common thing on the Ford 4.0 L V6 and other Ford engines of the era. The camshaft synchronizer needs replaced.

It's hilarious how these would hold their resale better than the Ranger yet they're made out of almost the exact same parts other than sheet metal and decorations. I worked at a ford dealership and I remember the spare Mazda parts had both a Mazda part number and a Ford part number.

@Bill Gates killed my uncle Well, from my experience I’ve seen the Mazda’s are cheaper than the Ranger. Plus they made far less of the Mazda version than the standard Ranger too.

I worked at drew ford in San diego in the late 90s early 2000s.. these did not sale at all compared to the ranger
