Nissan really tried their best to be competitive during that time. They also had the Infiniti M which came in first place in a Car & Driver comparison test with 6 other midsize luxury performance sedans. They had the FX and EX performance crossover vehicles and sales were strong. Now the Infiniti brand is a shadow of its former self.

I bought this as my first car and I absolutely LOVE it. It has some features on it that my dad’s 2018 GMC doesn’t even have. Very ahead of its time

I had a 2007 G35s and man that thing was a rocket. Excellent safety scores, adaptive cruise control, a decent Bose sound system, Power Tilt and telescope wheel/ heated and cooled seats. That thing took a beating and just kept on going, when I see them on the road they are either beat to shit or in perfect condition from middle-aged probably original owners. With the Magnesium paddle shifters in manual mode it would not shift for you at Redline which was fantastic

Pre-owned Infiniti G models now are owned by shithead young adults who abuse them and hoon them sadly. Some put giant wings on the back and ridiculous stuff like giant exhausts. These cars were so great when they were brand new back then. It’s really sad to see them in the condition that they’re usually in now.

@@gedaman 💯 I do see several in my neighborhood in Palm Springs or my place in Southern California where it's like older affluent yet MoneyWise older couples and it's so nice to see them taken care of in all of their Glory. Usually park next to a perfect late 90s through mid-2000s Lexus GX,LX, RX😔🤯

​@MugatuJag small world. Im out in PS often and own property in 29P. I have one just like this video. Liquid platinum sport with adaptive headlamps and cruise. Just turned 60k miles. My father bought it brand new, it's mint. I see a lot of them but most of the other ones I see are clapped out.

@crherniman super low miles wow, any oil consumption issues? Crankshaft position sensor? I didn't keep mine very long, I also had a first-generation M45 that I loved. But I've had a ton of other cars since then however I would buy one of these again in a heartbeat, I might get an M35 however instead....👌💯

@crherniman if I were to purchase a G35 or a M35 it would be difficult because yes you can get one for so cheap, but I might consider a GS 350 or a GS 430. Currently have a Tesla and then an XJ8 2009 Lost of the classic jags. That's awesome about 29 palms, I really want to buy a homestead plot in Joshua tree 5 acres something cheap not developed yet. Just to have something to call my own and build upon you know

I've had two of these they're fantastic cars The all-wheel drive model went through snow like a champ and even a hurricane here in Florida driving through mud and water like it was nothing

I owned 4 of these. Absolutely amazing, not one issue, the exhaust note was a hint of the Z. The soon to follow M37 was nice. Infiniti isn’t like it was before. Had the kept the 3.7, I’d be all over it. I drove the Q50 redline and it was anything but linear.

Almost bought brand new 2007 G35S with 6-speed manual. Great car, aged very well.
