I’m an original owner of a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. It’s a great truck and still going strong. Just oil change and regular maintenance.

All my cars since 1987 have been all Honda. When I needed to tow 9k Lbs of Travel Trailer RV, I turned to a 2006 Ford F-250 Diesel. Something no small pickup could do , i.e. different application needs. That 6.0L Diesel engine from Ford was a maintenance nightmare (well documented) and left us stranded on the side of the road while towing on vacation. We since sold the RV and these days my needs are well met by our most recent 2012 Honda Ridgeline Sport which is an absolute pleasure to drive.

I love the ridgeline, does just what I need it to do and nothing more. Perfect! P.S. I prefer this generation styling over the new 2019 anyday and it's cheaper for a High School student like me just under $10,000 sometimes $5,000 if lucky and patient enough to wait.

You are correct my friend. Got my 2007 rtl 3 weeks ago with 204k miles for an even $5k. Runs like a champ, interior is good condition, and all the creature comforts work great! Be patient

Honda is not trying to pick a fight with the established players, or they would have given it a larger bed and a V8. They're going after the guys that don't need a larger bed and a V8.

We also were left stranded (more than once) by Fords, Dodges and a variety of truly awful GM products. Our extended family (all raised near Detroit) bought domestic cars until we'd all had enough. Now we're all Honda and Toyota. If I needed a pickup the 2012 Ridgeline would be first on the list.

"...still produced alot of body roll...". I did not expected him to say that because that thing corners so flat for a vehicle that high off the ground.
@ebutuoycensorship8012 Жыл бұрын
Yeah that's shit I have 2 inch spacers on mine and not many other cars corner like me hahaha they gave it a bad review and they are a bit quicker to 60 in my opinion.
@mackcummy49769 жыл бұрын
They expected a pickup truck to not have much body roll and a short stopping distance?
@coytus943 жыл бұрын
It's crazy how many people expect a large ass pickup truck to have the same specs and performance as a car xD They want something large that can tow 10,000 lbs with 4WD, but they want it to do 0-60 in less than 5 seconds, be able to drift around tight corners, and stop on a dime. It's almost like they think physics don't apply or something.

Thu Key Honda Ridgeline is junk. Everything goes after 50,000 miles. My friend had one . The money he had to spend on repairs came to the thousands of dollars. You have to rebuild everything after 50,000 just like any other car. Belts hoses tires brakes shocks struts exhaust timing belt etc etc. Lease is the way. Get a new car every three years.
@arthursmith6436 жыл бұрын
Thu Key the manual says all tires have to be the same size. Then they give you a donut tire as a spear. Another $50.00 there cost and they could of given a full size tire.
@arthursmith6436 жыл бұрын
Thu Key its great up to 50,000 miles then you start to rebuild it because it starts to fall apart. Count the parts you had to replace when you get to 100,000 miles.

150k miles on mine and nothing more than scheduled maintenance.
@krazypapi26186 жыл бұрын
2006 Honda Ridgeline RTL 140,000 plus miles and still going strong. Just do regular on scheduled oil change and maintenance. It’s a great truck. If you use a truck daily for work and for fun then this is a good truck. If you pull 5k pounds daily then you may want a bigger truck. Again, this is a mix use truck. Reasonable truck. People may say it doesn’t have enough power, but then again they’re the same people who does not use what they have effectively and efficiently. Their truck may have V-8 but they only use it to carry 20# manure. Heck my 40cc Vespa can load that plus more! 💪🏽😊

It’s a nice vehicle that is class leading amongst the mid size trucks. It’s not as rough but no one needs a rough work truck all the time. And hardly anyone uses trucks for what they are designed for.
@whattheheck100012 жыл бұрын
Yeah. The Ridgeline is a "cruck" not a truck. And I love Honda, I drive a 2008 Accord. But Honda shouldn't be messing around with trucks. Not until they get a body-on-frame design and a V8 at least optional. July 8, 2012 2:01 am
