Hi Stefan, thank you for all the videos! Is there a specific gauge wire to use for extending the mini wires? Any chance you would know if I can connect the mini wiring to the existing speedo wiring on an 2022 Indian Scout Bobber? It has speedo can high, speedo can low, speedo switched power, speedo constant power, and speedo ground.

Hi i'm a little confused, the ignition coil on my bike only has a wire from the ignition module to it. The coil is grounded internally so where do i connect the yellow wire

Hmm, it may only have one terminal for the + side but there certainly has to be a ground somewhere, probably the mounting bracket. If in doubt, I suggest going the safe route and using the ignition signal sensor adapter.

For the tachometer wire (yellow) how do I connect that to my ignition coils. Which side is the ground side? Little confused here, thanks guys!

Happy to help but there's no universally correct answer to your question. You'll need your OEM wire diagram to identify which of the terminals is positive and negative unless it's indicated on your coil.

Does it work with self canceling turn signals that came on my 02 wide glide?

The gauge is used to interpret what the motorcycle is doing, it does not control or affect the function of any system on the bike. Assuming your turn signals work normally when the factory gauge disconnected, then the motoscope mini will work with them as well

Revival Cycles Harley self canceling signals use a speed output signal from the speedo as part of the logic to cancel them, so from the factory it indeed does use the speedo gauge. I found the wiring diagram and realized it doesn't so I wired in a module from Dakota digital that taps into the speed sensor and processes a signal it sends to the turn signal module. I'll be putting in an order with you this week on payday.

Hello man please could you help me about my question? Well i've got a harley davidson 883r 2008 and i also got a motogadget lile that can i install on my bike or would i need to get a M-unit to make it work? Thank you!

The motoscope mini does not need an m-Unit. On that bike you should have no problem removing the original gauge and installing the mini, you should have all the wires right at the connector for the original gauge. Only thing to be aware of is that you might need a pull up resistor for the speed sensor. Just connect a resistor between 1k ohm to 3k ohm 1/4 watt between the gauge power wire and the speed sensor signal wire. But its fine to test it without the resistor first, only add the resistor if speed signal doesn't resister.

The motoscope mini will run on its own without an m-Unit. Essentially this can be installed on any motorcycle with a 12V electrical system

I've had mine installed on my Bike for 7 years no problems. I thought the install was easy. Not everything is Plug and play and requires some knowledge to do but if this seems beyond your skillset to accomplish, then yes it probably isn't for you. I love how small it is, excellent German craftsmanship.

Hi Clive, Motogadget components aren't pocket change but you get what you pay for, in this case that's a German engineered and manufactured Speedometer, Odometer and Tachometer in a tiny 2.5" x 1" package with optional dash lights that can be oriented vertically or horizontally using prefabricated or custom bracketry. I can't say that I've ever seen anything comparable to this at any price point. If it exists I'd love to know about it, we'll put it to the test and if it holds up we'll add it to our site.
