I've test ridden a FZ1 and a Bandit 1250. The FZ1 engine is buzzy, a lot of vibration felt in the seat at highway speeds. No buzz problem with the Bandit. Top gear acceleration on the FZ1 is anemic until you get the rpms up, my Honda VTX1300 Cruiser is comparable up to 90 or so. The Bandit is much quicker in top gear, the FZ1 couldn't catch up until well over 100 mph. The gear ratios on the FZ1 are closer together than the Bandit's which means shifting more often. Now I'm a happy Bandit owner.

Funny thing seeing this 11 years later. And interesting to see how bad you got that one. Still today it's an absolute beast.

I had an original Bandit. and after a 5 years break, Im getting back on a bike soon, It will be the latest incarnation GSX FA.

Funny to hear that the fz1 has a more powerfull motor than the gsx 1250.........Compare the torques and you will learn that when the fz1 starts pulling, the gsx is going 120.......In fact, the Fz1 at its peak, 8000rpm does not match the 3500 rpm torque of the gsx1250. Power is not about hp.........but Torque.........and the Fz1 has no torque.

Just got my Bandit FA on Nov.2012. Here in Singapore it come with ABS n all i can said it's the best bike of it kind. I love the Bandit FA fantastic n very nice bike to ride!

I have the 2012 gsx1250fa. Love this bike. Yes the brakes need upgrading but its super fast and the torque is awesome. I dont need to go 200km/h... often... which this bike can do easily and quickly. I found the seat ok but a beadrider helps with long distance. Mine has the factory luggage which are 100%.

Here in Brazil, they don't sell Bandits with ABS system... is it a little unrespect? I love Suzuki Bandit, but why we dont have the best of them?

Total different powerbank then other bikes. This is a 3500-3700rpm max torq bike straight up 100nm from the start. No high revving.

This bike on video is not Bandit. It is GSX1250FA. It was recently launched in Brazil with ABS breaks.

Yawn..... I see nothing in this bike that would remotely make me get rid of my 10 year old Triumph Sprint 955i..... and I say this as a former Suzuki sales staffer. Give me the Bandit if anything.

Bah if you want a 1250 don't buy the FA buy a used 1250 bandit save you a lot of dosh.

I didn't like the seating position of the Ninja 1000. The torque curve of the Ninja is similar to the Bandit and much better than the FZ1 so it should have better low to mid-range acceleration than the FZ1. It's got good top end power too. The Bandit can compete in acceleration on public roads probably up to 100 mph or so. It doesn't have the top end speed these other two do so if you need to go faster than 150 mph the Bandit's not for you.

So much bull shit is talked about how much horsepower a bike as, it means nothing, what's important is how a bike feels and performs.

The gsx got max torq at 3500rpm ninja at 7500rpm, total different torq band. Gsx is realy relax touring. Ninja is sport. High rev high HP

HAVE IT ON GOOD AUTHORITY THAT THE 1200 IS BETTER THAN THE 1250. THE 1250, I THINK THE 1250 WOULD BE SUPERB,,!!!!!

BIG TORQUE starting at low rpm & great midrange. A bike for those who like pulling out tree stumps.

Couse they didn’t tell you it got max torq at 3500rpm. Its the way bandits used to ride. But now they have it the sporty gsx look. Bandit is not a high revving bike. Its a relaxing touring.

Suzuki says-"We should make a 1250...That makes less power than a modern 600 and charge a kidney for the bike!" Come on suzuki...Its fine if you want to build a parts bin bike...But DAMN...weak motor, AND a $12k pricetag? Great formula for going out of business...Look...Instead of making this SHIT...Give the people what they want... 1. A faired sportbike with relaxed seating, decent motor, and fair price. & 2. A SV650R model(Better shock, fork, and a revised(AKA MORE POWER) engine)

You don’t know what your talking about. This gsx has a 100nm torq at 3500rpm. Its touring not a racer. So no high revvs. But amazing torq. Super Smooth
