2:28 - The silkiest chord in the whole medley 2:37-2:42 - So many chords, all hit with perfection... how? 6:26 - Worst part of the whole thing: it ended.

Agree...some others, Sam Robson, Pentatonix, Home Free, Take 6 (obviously), but exhaust these guys vids first, they DESERVE it! ;-) Another you might look up, if you've never heard him and want to hear EXTREME chords is Jacob Collier, start with "Flintstones" and the piece ("In the Bleak Mid Winter", older version) he goes to G HALF sharp on in four notes, and back out later, virtually unnoticeably (I know, right, fat chance? You will be surprised). Enjoy, pretty sure you will.

So pleased to see this. And so sorry to see Sing Off having disappeared. It introduced me to you, Nota, Home Free, and Pentatonix (plus the many other participants over those years). Glad to see you still going strong. (And I'm from Huntsville so that was exciting to find out about you on Sing Off.)

The number of views on this vid is just stupid...should be 10X minimum, maybe even 100X, given how gorgeous and exquisitely performed this is. Sometimes ya just gotta wonder, this is one of the vids I link when someone asks for a capella 'stuff', though. Sometimes even when they DON'T. It's THAT GOOD. Thanks guys, lifts the heart, so to speak.

You guys remind me of Take 6, and believe me, that's intended as a COMPLIMENT. NICE SOUND!!! ;-) And to that bass...SMOOTH, man, smooth.
@rolandaallison64024 жыл бұрын
@John Sikes That is because both Take 6 and Committed attended the same university, Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. Both groups sang in the university's choir, The Aeolians.
@MrJdsenior4 жыл бұрын
@@rolandaallison6402 Cool piece of info. I've listened to that choir on YT many times, as well, they are excellent.
@rolandaallison64024 жыл бұрын
@@MrJdsenior Yes, they are! And, The Aeolians are even better in person. The interpretation of the music from their director and the choir's performance delivery are unbelievable masterful. Their singing is breathtaking! Hence, this is the training that Take 6 and Committed have as their foundation and, therefore, why they are loved so much.
@MrJdsenior4 жыл бұрын
@@rolandaallison6402 "better in person" I believe that. Unfortunately, the time I heard Take 6 in person was at our church, and the sound guy was SOOOO over driving the audio, for a venue like that (sanctuary seated about 1000 people) that it was absolutely painful to be there. Listening to them on my good sound system at home is enjoyable. MUCH clearer, MUCH cleaner, and at REASONABLE levels. I was really disappointed. Many many people left at the intermission. I don't know why the sound guy thought that was a good idea, but I wish he hadn't. Totally ruined what would have been an excellent evening. The King's Singers came twice, no mics/sound system whatsoever, 100% mouths to ears, and it was spectacular. Like I said, the Take 6 concert could have been MUCH better, and it was no fault of the performance. It was so loud that I can almost guarantee you could have measured hearing loss on people during that concert (I'm not kidding). I finally put my fingers in my ears, because I was literally in pain, and it was STILL too loud. I'm not convinced to this day that their sound guy wasn't deaf.
