How to be ULTRA sneaky in Planetside 2

Predator on Auraxis! After the suppressor's changes, I decided to give it a go in a super sneaky loadout with sensor shield! Amazingly fun at night or on Hossin!
Infiltrator loadout:
AF4 Cyclone (x2 scope, extended mags, suppressor, SP ammo)
Desperado (x1 scope, suppressor)

Here are the patch notes on the suppressors:
"Suppressors
The suppressor attachment no longer reduces maximum damage range.
Velocity standardized to 15% for all weapons (previously, velocity penalties ranged anywhere from 20% to 50% based on the weapon.)
Dev Note: Suppressor penalties varied wildly from weapon to weapon, and in most cases remained one of the least desirable attachments to equip. We've streamlined the stat changes to make suppressors easier to understand and more worthwhile to use."

"supressors have been buffs considerably.
They now have a universal flat 15% velocity reduction and don't impact maximum damage ranges anymore.
Personally I think this buff is a little bit too much for many guns. On some weapons supressors are almost mandatory and now there are very few instances where a weapon would be worse off with stealth now than previously. All short range & CQC guns which can use supressors might as well have them built-in now.
Stealth is a very powerful advantage and supressors came with disadvantages for good reason. Some weapons really needed the suppressor buffs like the Railjack, but others just got flat upgrades, and I fear balance may be up in the air for a bit now, as if high RoF weapons need the boost."

A few tips for my fellow sneaky types: - You can turn a laser sight off the same way you do a flashlight, but you'll keep the hipfire bonus. This helps keep people from catching sight of the visible laser beam sticking out from the weapon when you're hiding. - You CANNOT cloak in an enemy Sunderer's stealth field. It'll highlight you. - Be VERY careful about Q-spotting, and sound in general. Any smart player knows the different factions's voice callouts and hunt you down. Quiet fights may betray you by your footsteps or even the sound of your weapon reloading (I've actually caught an Infiltrator that way). Also, NO weapon is perfectly silent, not even the crossbow. - Mind your positioning. You are an obstacle to enemies- they can't run through you- and I've caught careless Infiltrators because they blocked my path. - You are never, ever completely invisible. Be aware of what's around you and how much your cloaking effect will distort the environment.

One more thing, not sure if it's for all graphical settings, but any Infiltrator standing in front of those light blue/teal displays/consoles that are in most buildings, while cloaked, will be *very* visible, since their cloak distorts the colouration into a darker shade. Might be viewed as common knowledge, but the amount of high directive infils i've killed this way is ridiculous.

Easily way to balance. Flash hides remove tracers, copensators no longer have hip fire penalty. Now you have 3 great attachments to choose from.

Got a tip for ya: Try make some random noises or show yourself in the map ONCE, after that move 30-50m Away to the luring spot, Check how many players will go there, if its any other class (*except MAXes and Heavies that are very prepared and equiped with OP weapons*), dont attack a 3+ enemies (unless noobs). Kill em' with your suppressed weapon, Once you killed them DONT Run away yet, you will be seen in the deathscreen, run now about 2 seconds or the body disappears. Work effectively in Open areas with few cover or Inside buildings with lots of hiding spots. EDIT: Almost for got that ONCE thing its because SOME players can remember where you've been shown and if you do it again then your possibly facing an Entire army of the opposing faction. Know your enemy aswell if they're in large squads. Got a 50 killstreak by sitting in the same corner until I ran out ammo and used my unsuppressed weapon.

Jungi blitz has the benefits of loads of ammo and if you handle it right you can easily get 3 or 4 kills with it not quite as fast as the cyclone but great for when you come up behind 2 or 3 people.

Thanks for the advice. Going to try this out aswell. Maybe I modify the loadout a bit since I already auraxed my cyclones but that's defently a good way to aurax the other SMGs.

It is, to an extent. Hossin, sunderer at night, put some dark greenish stuff as your camo and then hide it. They'll still find it eventually but you'd be surprised how often they'll straight up overlook your sundy with the right camo even with people spawning in. On the other hand, those with bright pink nonsense all other their sundy or with some kind of stand out decal will catch attention immediately.

That's not true at all.....when moving across battle while not shooting. I pick camo that matches my environment just like real life. Especially when running infiltrator....trust me when wearing snow camo in the snow you don't stand out..... same if u wear snow camo on hossin at night....you are going to stick out light a beacon.

Yeah I find a TON of them when fighting TR, its like they distribute it among their "best" platoons. I find myself asking the question HOW he know I was there way too many times a day as an infiltrator. Even when I place myself in places nobody would, they rush out the door did they look left, did the look right? Nope, they dont look where people would commonly be they aim straight at me. I keep such a paranoid eye on spotters I spend more time looking at the radar than looking for people around me.

After suppressor and HVA buff, there’s literally no downside to equipping them both on the Gauss SAW, and since it’s default hipfire CoF is so large, laser helps it immensely. Highest damage per mag, 3 headshot kill at all range and and total invisibility on minimap will go a long way in a biolab farm. Also, suppressor streamline make silent CQC bolting so much more powerful these days. Coupled with suppressed Pilot pistol and it’s a seal-clubbing adventure without anyone batting an eye.

Hey Moukass, i would like to recomend you to try this changes MGP-Si Gladius - 1x scope, laser sight, suppressor, SPRW Ammunition, adrenaline shield and survivalist implant and not the assimitate. I play from the beggining with Smg infiltraitir and i find this gear very good at staying longer alive while with the gladius it seems easier to shot both at long and short distance.

My loadout : One shot knife Any sidearm you like Carapace implant Vampire implant LVL 5 (this is very important, since the health given by knife kills is also given by sidearms kills : +325HP) Medkits Nanoarmor Stalker cloak EMP Use the emp as a flashbang-like and to detonate mines in the way, and just chop ppl in crowded areas. As long as you kill stuff quicly, you're pretty much invincible

OK, so at this point in time hermes cloaking exists and I think it's better than nanowave cloaking. I also like catlike implant I prefer motion spotter over darts because I can see where enemies are facing, that is particularly useful when assaulting enemies in a building. I was thinking about a couple of things that I haven't tried yet, namely NSX Kappa as a primary as well as smoke grenades, but I would have to unlock them first.

Is there something you have to make your cloak less visible? Without firing just going into corners or laying low somewhere in Hossin people somehow see me while im cloaked and their carbines SOMEHOW are able to land 3 consecutive headshots while Im running around far away invisible. I look at radar, no spotters of any kind.

I know I'm 9 months late buuuut Deep operative implant, upgrade it to level 5. After, I think it's around 10 seconds, without taking any damage, your cloak becomes even harder to see. Taking damage though will reset the buff and you'll have to spend another 10 seconds once safe, and you'll get super-cloak again. It's amazing on aggressive infil builds, just remember you won't immediately have super cloak, if you're hit. I recommend pairing it with either sensor shield or adrenaline pump.

That style of gaming is way too quick for this 48-year-old gamer, old man reflexes plus potato PC lol, but love your videos! I'm having a blast just using Deep Operative (cheap 1500 iso implant) and just doing recon. I can't really get any kills but I just use my engineer and use bouncing Bettys and spitfire AI turret. I've gone from 0 kills a day to like 5-8 lol, pathetic compared to you're style but it's fun. My next goal (Just started playing a couple weeks ago, so I'm still pretty new to the game) is to fully trick out the cloaked Flash and just run people over for ez kills. I tried the vanguard tank, even with the shield ability it has (only had one or two out of 5 shield ability) so that ended horribly, 4 hits I was toast. So I'm not sure about tanks. Don't get me started on aircraft...the PAIN. never again. I'm convinced all vehicles are made of paper. :D

Hope they didnt ragequted for good ;p I'we been using silencer + HV ammo for some time now on few of my loudouts, and it does come handy a jumping on people (or a group of them), but as you said, once they spotted you, its mostly over. Wonder what would be a good equivalent for a TR loudout, our SMG-s are not that good.

This is a BS: hip fire headshots at those distances, endless stealth, insane run and walk speed. The real fight is on 12:17 - that's how it really ends up 95% of the time in real life. Overhead jump on 14:30... are you light assault or infiltrator?

Any build that requires inplants to work is inherantly a bad build. Ive been playing this game since launch, never have i even been close to getting the sensor shield inplant by playing the game, and i refuse to buy inplants that will give me an edge in game. ive spent hundreds on cosmetics to support them, but i will NEVER buy an inplant that will straight up make me a better player.

I can't help but notice how there are very few fights against the Vanu among the recorded ones. I'm of the opinion that the tactics you describe, while completely correct, simply don't work on the Vanu because of a combination of twitchiness, alertness to the level of paranoia and sheer goddamn numbers. Also, around 50% of the Vanu fights are against tight-knit groups of players who are all on comms, so you get spotted very easily. This type of gameplay was very accessible a couple of years ago, but now, unless you pick on the TR/NC, you've no chance. Fighting the Vanu is Hard Mode.

Just from reading the title without watching yet i can say as a full time stalker i quit it after the "KILL CAM BS"... Now i'm forced to use heavy, if you don't believe me "planetside 2 players" check my user and classes "CartoonFace" i rarely play now because of this update. I stopped my membership as i don't play that often since this update. Was fun while it lasted. Actually and i'm not being funny when i say this but i can unsub from all my planetside 2 yt channels as whats the point of having them when i don't play anymore. Stop blaming the kill cam when you can use it to your advantage. My K/D is triple yours using infil and I use the kill cam to kill enemies over and over. Right after you kill them. Head one direction then reverse direction when the kill cam ends. You can time it perfectly. They charge where they think you will be but you’re not there. You're on the side or behind them shooting them in the back. That or use Deep OP implant and without a dark light. 99% of them can never find you.
