Your mistake is that this is clearly a beer amp, not a wine amp. It would look fantastic next to a can of PBR. And that would also be a great choice for its place on the chart. 👍

The reviewer has obviously never heard of Night Train. It comes in a gallon jug, with the handy finger handle. The amplifier would look awesome between that jug and an semi clean mason jar.

I'm a poor or "budget-minded" audiobuff. I'm poor because I recently paid 484,000 cash for the last home I'll live in. I also collect Dodge Chargers back to 1968, fine shotguns, 1911's, and SA revolvers. So, it's actually easy to be poor for other reasons. In the bedroom I have the Moukey receiver and a pair of wall mounted Neumi BS5 speakers. Sounds great to my artillery damaged, 66 year old ears.

I've been using one for about a year now. It hasn't gone wonky yet, so I'll update you in another few years and tell you if it's still working.

You didn't use enormously expensive cables and a power conditioner. Of course it sounds like crap.

You're right. I only used the stock power cable because it was hard wired to the product, but I did use enormously expensive speaker cables. What I should have done is replaced the power supply and used a PK14 Palladian power cord from Kimber Kable - it may have reduced that distortion to zero or better! My fault. I just wrote Moukey and let them know that a modest $1,690 cable + a $300 power supply could significantly improve the quality of this amp and get the MAMP1 into the hifidelity market.
