I was glad you done this video, as I was waiting for mine to come to my house, after buying it from eBay. I saw it while trying to find a small amplifier that fitted my record unit. I have one of those all in one music centres , it has RCA output so I have it linked to the Moukey mamp1 with book shelf speakers. The all in one music centre has its own speakers. I can play records with just the music centre., but if I want to blast it I use the Moukey mamp1. I only have to turn it just off half to make it loud!

I've seen it written on amazon reviews that the remote won't change volume of devices playing through rear RCA inputs! That would be deal breaker as far as I am concerned.

Thanks for the good review. First one I've come across that actually connected it to real speakers and demonstrated most of the features. I would have like to have seen you demo the folder knob with a USB stick and SD card, as well as the FM tuner and its functions.

My computer has a 3.5 OUT and 2 RCA (red & whte) That unit says DVD & CD any issue running audio into them fro,a desktop computer???

I just bought one of these and it doesnt work i put the radio one and all i get is a ticking noise. I guess its faulty?

Thanks for that... I lost my little controller. (with no name, I probably threw it out..) I could not figure out how to get Bluetooth?! ..it took two buttons?! Mode and W (whatever the hell that means..). I am doing a garage setup and wanted something simple and small. I finally have a reason to use it. Cheers. Jim

Can I use the Output Line Out RCA connectors to plug into a car stereo amp for a subwoofer? And have the car stereo amp powered by a battery? Would the controls like Bass control those RCA Outputs as well? Thanks! Also, do you know how much RMS this amp would put out wired to 8 ohms? Not peak but the RMS? Maybe half of the Peak rating?

Got mine this week. It appears that the USB/SD card playback feature is limited to MP3 files (no AAC etc), and it'll immediately play them back as though they're in a single flat folder. There's no folder navigation, just a big flat playlist-the "Folder/Track" knob is just a track selector. I also can’t get it to stop at the end and _not_ repeat either a single track or the whole list. So USB playback is functional but limited.

Hi Amber, the bass control is really responsive. It can handle good quality bass speakers within the tower or similar speakers.

I bought this amp to replace an older large stereo tuner/receiver. While it can be loud, it lacks the lushness of typical larger and older amps. I wouldn't buy it again. I may try hooking it up to an external equilizer and see if I can get better sound.

Bass is surprisingly good. This unit won't rattle your teeth or dishes without substantial distortion, though.

Nice review. I’m guessing you could plug a turntable into the CD or DVD ports. Is that the case?

Thank you. I bought this receiver, and my turntable didn’t work, because it doesn’t have a built in preamp. No ground post on receiver either. Also, the Bluetooth range is only 10 feet or less with mine, so looks like I’ll be returning this little guy. Definitely nice for the money, if BT range was better.

You need a phono input to run a turntable, which this amp does not have. You can buy a separate one though, but why would you want to listen to vinyl on this shitass amp? It's made for digital media.

I recently started using this model, and it sounds great. I’ve read the user manual, very basic info. But, when I am using USB, I can’t figure out how to change folders. When I turn the knob and press, it jumps to a different track, not album. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? I used to play the same one in my car and it recognized different albums then tracks.

The Ch+ Ch- buttons on the Remote will change the folder as next or previous respectively. On the unit itself, these button only change tracks.

You would most likely require a preamp. Easily available online. Sorry I don't have a link to provide you. The output of a turntable (unless it has a selectable output switch) is too low to connect to aux, dvd, cd, etc.

I have a turntable with RCA outputs. I have read yes and no for turntable use. My wife bought me a bluetooth turntable with RCA outputs and i was hoping this unit would work. It would also double as a great bluetooth hub with my existing speakers to replace my terrible sounding bluetooth Monster speaker.

UPDATE! I received my Moukey 5.0 yesterday. I hooked it up to an inexpensive encoding turntable via RCA and it works perfectly. The streaming from my phone works great as well and it sounds 10 times better than my Monster bluetooth speaker. I'm using some small Pyle bookshelf speakers at the moment but intend to upgrade soon. This is a great little unit. The only issue I have is that the FM tuner seems to be very difficult to navigate with any speed. Fortunately, my turntable also has a tuner with a traditional tuning knob instead of the pushbutton scan. I just use it through the Moukey and get great FM stereo sound. For $59 it was money very well spent.
