you ain't joking and the whole show is a masterpiece of lighting. I have never gone home after a play before and looked up who the lighting designer was but I did this time. It's Justin Townsend's work and he won at least a Tony for it and I'm sure he has won plenty of other awards, too. well earned awards. If you have a chance to see this in person, go for it. I saw the N. American traveling tour cast and just.. wow. I'm still walking around on a high from the energy of their performance.

Was extremely fortunate to see this twice during its world premiere in Boston in the historic Colonial Theater in 2018. Each time, this performance not only earned a rousing standing ovation, but the applause went on for such an extended period, it became obvious that the performers became uncomfortable holding their frozen positions for so long. I have never felt energy in a room like that before or since.

I discovered the musical "by accident", in July '23 when I was in London for Bruce Springsteen's two concerts. I know London very well, so I was looking for something to do in the afternoon before the show in Hyde Park. I was thunderstruck, literally. I sang, danced, cried, and laughed like I haven't in years. and I'm almost 60 years old, 40 of which I spent traveling the world to see Bruce. I've seen the musicaln at least once a month since then. I live in Milan, get my ticket as soon as I have some time, leave by fly at 10 a.m. and arrive at 12 noon in London, headed to the Piccadilly Theatre for the 2:30 p.m. show and then at 8 p.m. fly back home. and or I will as long as it's on in London. see it, experience it, love it. it's just amazing!!! BGT is getting better and better after the season after season. Everything from the stage lighting and the stage set-ups, the make-up, and the sound system....the list goes on..... THE best show of this generation hands down! Much better than Hamilton for sure! This is one of the best musicals of all time and should be up there with the greats! I saw this live and have the soundtrack on repeat at home and never get tired of it. Truly a spectacle and wonder to behold!
