IMO, the symbol for “bucolic country life” is a duck, goose, or swan on the water: calm and cool on the surface, and underneath paddling like mad.

VERY grateful that you didn’t react worse to the yellow jacket stings. I learned decades ago NOT to move fast or, especially, try to swat them; it’s worse than waving a red flag in front of an angry fighting bull. Right now, I have mud dauber, paper wasp, and something I don’t recognize nesting right outside my door, but they have left me be all year. Guarantee you, come freezing weather, the nests will come down.

Yellow jackets are just plain evil. As for the rest of the critters you are eradicating, they are on your property, so you get to decide what stays and what goes.

You’re 100% right about those bucks being cautious and easily spooked……until rut hits haha. Then they are the dumbest animal in the woods! Kinda like us humans I suppose.

Hubby finally got a black snake that’s been eating all our eggs. We thought that we had a feed issue but it was a lazy black snake that didn’t want to hunt for its own food.

Danny is eradicating only the competing predators ON HIS OWN PROPERTY. He has made it a sanctuary for the plant predators, which he still is unlikely to deal with unless they are preying on his crops.
@rogerfranks67053 ай бұрын
I agree with almost everything you say about eradicating the certain types of animals that are killing deer, turkey, and quail. But you will never eradicate the wild pigs. Our hunting camp had a Ms. State biologist talk to us several years ago and he told us that you could harvest 80% of the population and that would barely keep them in check. We hunt on the Tombigbee River in Al. We killed hundreds and they keep coming. Thing is they have a large travel range. Falsely making you think you have lessened the population. Anyway good luck!!! Love your content

Welcome to woke America in 2024. There's people out there that think animals have just as much rights as humans, and even some who put animals above humans. Funny thing is, the people that pretend to care most about animals and wildlife, never get out into the wildlife, or do anything with it and they don't put their money where their mouth is. They like to sit on videos with their keyboards and complain about hunters, yet 98.7% of money that goes toward wildlife management and forest management and, animal science comes from the purchase of hunting license, which means that all these people pretend to care, but they're not doing anything to help, they're not donating any money, so they need to put up or shut up. If it wasn't for hunters and the sales of hunting license then there would be way more species extinct and less species that have been reintroduced than there are. Not only do hunters donate the bulk of the money towards these things from hunting license, but many hunters also open their wallets and donate extra money and they buy hunting and fishing license plates, which the proceeds also go to all these things. Now let's talk about God and His word in the Bible. God said that he created every creature on the planet that flies swims crawls and slithers for us to have dominion over. Some are here for us to eat, some are here to help us with work, and some are here for us to just admire, but bottom line is they're all here for us. Like it or not, these animals don't have any special rights, they are not on the same level as us, they don't even have a soul. And if this hurts your feelings, then you know the old saying, "facts don't care about your feelings". I think too many people have gotten way too infatuated with their cats and dogs and house pets. You've got people letting animals live inside of their home which is completely nasty, and they even let animals sleep in the same bed as them which is sickening and not normal.
