I'm a newbie to M and just started last week. I watched your videos, along with a few others for tips prior to starting my first dose. I was/am scared of getting bad nausea (had bad reaction to Ozempic) so I did my first dose in my thigh. I felt sick after my first dose but it wasn't nearly as bad as I felt on Oz and it only lasted 3 days. Thanks for sharing your tips today. I will keep that in the back of mind for when I feel the shots aren't as effective. 🌊

3:19 GREAT explanation, and mirrors my own experience too. 🤩 Me: - 1st site: belly. Got site reaction, stopped. - Arm is fussy to do solo, so went thighs. - Did thighs forever. Worked pretty okay. - Finally after 8 months, switched to arms. - HOLY COW! Was like a *free titrate up!* 😳 Your doctor sounds pretty great, taking the time to explain the ‘why’ of it all. And, I had not heard the ‘tissue fatigue’ explanation prior to this, but it seems borne out in practice. For you and I, at least. 🌟 Now have to experiment to further confirm, which means trying out stomach again. Hopefully don’t get another site reaction there. 😬🤞

Great news on your physical. I took my eighth shot of semaglutide compound this week and I changed from my thigh to my stomach. I bent a needle which was not good. I withdrew 30 units of the compound. In looking at the syringe it didn't look like there was any liquid. I should have put it up to the light, but I went ahead and gave myself the shot. It went in faster and much easier than previous shots. All my other shots have felt like I really had to push the plunger. I'm going to give it another two days and may retake the shot. I'm not having any effects. I've lost maybe five pounds in eight weeks. I was hoping to lose more, but I'm trying not to get frustrated.

My stomach and back of arm work good for me, thigh does not at all. My dr did say because I have skinny legs, I could try the inside of my thighs instead of on top just like people do when injecting insulin so I may try that next time

So my daughter is a type one diabetic and the reason you need to rotate sites is because you can build up scar tissue. So as with these injections it’s important to rotate

The site def matters. I dont care how many people say it shouldn’t matter and thats nonsense and its placebo 🙄…. Ive been on MJ for 19 mos I KNOW what works for ME and injection sites def make a difference, Ive had plenty of months, injections and every single dose to experiment with… again… for ME and many others it matter so I wish people would stop saying that its not true when it def is lol

There is no short answer because it has changed throughout the dosages. When I say makes a difference its not weight loss for me. For me its hunger suppression and food noise. Ive never had bad side effects.i had lil nausea here and there on 2.5mg and 5mg and tired after shot days sometimes but no real bad side effects 🙏🏻 I started with thighs left and right for my first 17 shots. 2.5mg I did 4 shots and 5mg 11 shots then 7.5mg. On the 18th shot I tried my arm and thats when I started loving the arms. Shortly after I tried belly did nothing for me. When I went to 10mg I noticed the left side wasnt working anymore. I tried left arm, thigh and belly….nothing. I tried each left spot again on 12.5mg and nothing. Since 10mg I basically did right arm and right thigh. When I got to 15mg after 15 months on MJ… I tried left sides again and nothing so that has been consistent on the higher dosages. After a month on 15mg I tried right side Belly and whoa…. Whole new ball game. Great appetite suppression. But again cant do left side. I tried left arm, left belly, left thigh and nothing. Weird cause on lower doses my left thigh worked great. I have every single shot written down since Oct 2022. Now on 15mg I rotate on my right side only. Right arm, right thigh and right side belly. I would have to say belly is my fave now on 15mg… on 7.5, 10 and 12.5 I would say right arm was my fave and on 2.5 and 5 of course both thighs as thats all I did. I am 150lbs down with 25 to goal 🎉 so grateful for this med that is helping my pcos, insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction (I also have hypothyroidism) while I put in the work …cause I def put in the work 🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♀️ 💦 🍽️ ❤️‍🩹

I noticed the same thing! I was the same weight for 3 weeks and didn't notice the meds working at all. I had them inject in the back of the arm and had appetite suppression and lost 4 pounds that week.

My doctor told me the receptors in certain areas when you inject over and over get flooded and don’t absorb bad well so basically the same thing I think.

Have you struggled with the weight fluctuations? I will lose a few pounds then gain gradually for several days. Not changing my eating, I’m getting 127g protein and of if I eat more than 1,200 calories I seem to gain. Just wondered if you’ve experienced this. Different people say different things. But you will find A LOT of testimony suggesting that switching up sites every now and then really helps!

Tbh, I don't think food suppression is my issue, so I'm not sure this is gonna work out for me. I have only started since March 22...but I changed my eating habits and I take ASAP and lost 15lbs by the time I got on mounjaro...Just went back toy stomach on Thurs...I don't feel any different, and I'm on 7.5
