Fyi the Sturgians calls their chieftain “Knyaz” aka Prince, and also, you can include the deity they worship like Perun, Svetovid etc. Slavic paganism should be where you draw the inspiration from

Does anyone know. If you split your formation in battle amd youre a captain. Do those troops still keep your captain perks?

Haha I finished a full norse run not long ago. Started it only using sturgia noble troops then transitioned into the full sturgia troops as late game needed many men to throw at the walls of citys. Just started a new campaign as sturgia again but only using empire troops to mix it up. I can't not play for sturgia though.

I wish the guys who carry the banner in the game wouldn't have to be forced to choose between their shield, same for archer units the banner should be auto strapped to a units back so they don't get die as quick in the melee or ranged attacks or a couch strike, and once the banner is dropped the effect is lost for the unit until the banner is picked up again which never happens which forces the player to carry it and either sit idle in the back or chuck spears. would at least improve the chances of the unit surviving in the fray to make the most use out of the 10-15-25-30% banner bonus effects. or Just make it passive for whom ever has the banner in that unit for the rest of the battle, Personally I never use the 30% movement speed banner, I find it for the most part useless because Sturgia is mostly at war with battania or the Khuzaits, who primarily have armies made up of archers Falxman and Khans guard, so the 10-15% ranged dmg taken reduction or the 30% dmg reduction to shields make it a lot easier for them to survive the Falx, glaives and arrows. but otherwise I like your build, and choice with the axman. Pikewall banner would also be good when facing Vlandia, they just love to spam banner knights. Maybe someday someone will make a banner mod that doesnt force a unit or player to forfeit their shield.

How you fight horse archer with all infantry?

You could probably lead them into a wood line and use the trees to catch horses and unmount them

You Just don't, I think in history was also pretty clear: horse archers are deadly for infantry, the battle of Cannae is the biggest proof of it, build some good archers and use your infantry to protect them from charge. This should work
