It should, with a morale system to encourage people to fight in formation. If they die in formation, morale decreases slowly, but if they die out of formation morale decreases quickly! War of Rights meets Mount & Blade!

@@Benoniyoutube With the morale system, even random players would be forced to work together. I'm sure you've seen me talk about this before, but War of Rights is the perfect case study for this. Complete strangers figure out how to work together in that game, because the system itself corrals them together. They also have experienced players who take on the officer role in order to lead and teach the herd of cats. So, it's a "simple" matter of programming such a system into Bannerlord, or a standalone tactical slaher.

I haven’t played Bannerlord and last played Warband maybe seven ago. It’s one of my favorite games but I don’t have a PC anymore and the crew of people I used to play with have long since disbanded. the worst part of all this is that medieval battles were fought pretty much the same way. a large clan composed of a multitude of smaller clans, to make an army. you have to study the military techniques of the time, the formations etc. an army captain who knows this will surely have an advantage in the game!

I don't want to disparage your skill, but I think you really needed wing commanders or even just a subordinate, as you had quite a hard time coordinating multiple flanks. Commanding 300 people (so basically a standard battalion) in groups of 20ish is obviously quite a task, you're a major issuing orders directly to sergeants or lieutenants instead of having captains to deal with that, a serious command and control issue made significantly worse by the terrain, a dense forest where you can see maybe one flank clearly, with the other 2 obstructed. Perhaps even having leaders of senior units take charge of the flank could've relieved your strain significantly.
