I enjoyed this very much and saw many of these same places last time we went up to hike. I have a video on my page somewhere. We got lucky and had different weather each day. Sunny, foggy, and then snow. Thankfully it was just enough to look beautiful and we climbed up to the highest peak before they shut it down. So glad y'all came. - from Charlotte, NC

Great video! Only a couple hours from my home in Charlotte, Mt Mitchell is one of my favorite places, and yes having the right car makes those roads fun! A crisp day, seat heaters on, sun roof open, BMW purring…… Ahhhhhhh, can’t wait til spring.

Just drove 4 hours one way to find out the parkway is closed for the season. The road closed yesterday according to the locals. I'll be making that drive again as soon as the Parkway opens. Very fun drive going up the side of the mountain

Recently stayed in Sapphire NC for a vacation with the family.....Nothing but breath taking views everywhere! We were told to try a drink called "Cheerwine".........IMO, don't offend your tastebuds. LOL Best part of the trip was the Biltmore Estate.....and visiting family there. We also vacationed at Hancock, Massachusetts and hiked up Mt Greylock......more incredible views! Really enjoying this Motor Mountain USA segment!

a parkway is a broad, landscaped highway thoroughfare and can bisect or go between parks...just look at one of the original parkways...the merritt parkway in ct was built in 1938 goes by some places that are parks today but there's no national parks in ct and wasn't to many parks in 1938...just woods, so it was made to "look nice"
