Mount Smutwood - The Perfect Early Autumn Hike

We were gonna hike up there for sunset that very day and got there after the closure so super cool to see what it looked like that evening.

Great video, the hike looks amazing. What time of the year was this done? October? Were planning to go during this time so hoping to see those fall colours!

This was probably more mid September. Larch season is fleeting and if it snows in the area this hike becomes more than a hike!

Funnily they actually closed it whilst we were on it! We had no idea but had to duck under the 'Do Not Enter' tape when we left. We'd been hiking in the dark for a couple of hours and found out it had been closed due to a bear bluff charging a hiker that afternoon once we got back to the car!
