This was heartwarming, and exactly why my kids ride, and why I'm working with the local NICA team
@axessdenyd4 жыл бұрын
Yup, NICA is just starting to try to get a foothold here in OH. My daughter just turned 4, so I'm doing what I can to help NICA out so it should be nicely established by the time she can take advantage of it. If she wants to, anyway.

The reason why I ride today is the reason my kids do. It’s not a sport it’s life. Well done Kevin your range of videos is awesome.

That's awesome. My daughter just turned 4, and I just got her a pretty nice Frog bike so she can learn to pedal and use proper brakes. As soon as she gets that down and learns good control, I think we're gonna be doing a lot of riding. And we have some trails nearby that should be just about perfect for learning to ride. I'd better drop a lot of weight and build up a ton of skills if I'm going to keep up with her in a few years!

My dad, brother and I have been riding bikes together since I was a kid and I’m now 37. Whenever the three of us get together we still make a family ride the first priority. This video captures all the reasons why and more. The MTB community is the absolute best around. I have spent some time with Sean and BB on the trails and it is always a blast. Thank you Steady for capturing this interview. I believe it’s your most powerful episode yet.

My brother in law got me into MTB and can't say I've enjoyed anything more. Made so many friends and mems through this sport. After years of football and wrestling this is something that I will be able to do for the rest of my life.

My son and I have made life long memories. Its been an amazing experience to watch him grow as a young man and rider. Kids learn to cope with failure and how to overcome fear. Plus as a dad when you watch your little man send a road gap its gut wrenching and pretty stoke at the same time. #enjoytheprocess #morekidsonbikes

Best Video yet Kev. Every time I am riding and I see parents on the trails with their kids I make sure to tell both the kids and their Mom's and Dads how awesome it is to see them out there. Whenever I ask if they are having fun the answer is always YES. They are the future of our sport...

Great video! Mtb was one of the best things I gave to my son. I started him riding back when he was 8. We were both into moto at the time, so the skill part of riding a bicycle always came easy to him. As he got a little older, there was a period where he just didn't have the stomach for the pain involved in riding XC, so he put it down during high school and focused on, "stick and ball" sports. When he graduated high school and went to college. the urge to ride struck him again. He's almost 22 now, and a total ripper. This old guy (56) has a difficult time keeping him in sight! We try to get together as much as possible to ride, and we've done a couple of NC trips over the past year. Some of the best times we've had together. If I had one piece of advice to parents, it's to keep it fun for them. And remember, these little guys don't know what it means to budget their energy, so they'll go flat-out until they can't go anymore, and that's usually a couple of miles from the trailhead.
@Jeremy-dw2jt4 жыл бұрын
I love to see that. My dad had me on a bmx, rode some moto. Sadly he’s not with us anymore or he’d be on on a hardtail right next to me.

Nice video Kevin! BB has blown my mind in his progression in the past couple years! Sean is the man! Hell of a father! Glad to see you helping get their story out there! Need more men spending time with their kids doing what they love, and not letting them give up on their dreams when the ride gets rough! Keep on shredding BB!

Great video Steady. Best times spent with my son have been when we ride together since he was 3 years old. He is certainly hitting bigger jumps than I do but I can still keep up to him. He is 15 now and I am 51. It is a great way to relax and enjoy life, to get away from the stress that can get people down.

Yes, mtb is for the family, the first season for NICA in FL this year and we created a team to participate, but mostly just trying all the amazing trails, Jonathan Dickinson,(I saw your club scrub sticker), Alafia, Markham, Virginia Key, West Delray and on and on… , or traveling to Dupont Ridgeline or Snowshoe, there is something fun for everyone no matter their level. The time and shared experiences are the best as he said you aren't just dropping off your kids you are participating with them and there is nothing better.
