A few questions please. Does it have a prominent Mountain Dew flavor? Why do you make a syrup first? Does the Mountain Dew in the candied part not have a defined flavor of it enough? Thanks so much for the video. I will be trying this for sure!

The Mountain Dew flavor is not very strong but you can taste a bit of it. I made it into a syrup first because I find it to hold the flavor best.

If you want it crispier, continue to bake it...take it out every 10 minutes and turn the popcorn for a total of 30 to 45 minutes. After 30 minutes, the popcorn should be getting a kind of crispy sound, if you think it's not quite there yet try another 10 min or so and take it out. Be carful not to let your popcorn start to brown or burn...keep an eye on it! If you're impatient and don't want to let it set naturally out on the counter, put the popcorn in the frig for about 10 minutes to set. The extra baking time will make it crunchy instead of chewy. It's your choice on how you like your popcorn...enjoy!
