Thinking of doing this instead of taking the Gornergrat Bahn. Lower price of the Sunnegga funicular & use the money saved to rent a bike down. Sound like a good plan?

If you want to be a bit active, Sunnegga is a great alternative, and really fun as well. Gornergrat is also a great experience with beaytiful views og Matterhorn and the Monte Rosa massif. The Sunnegga experience can be done in almost all kind of weather, but Gornergrat needs sunshine and a clear day. We did the kickbikes in rain, and got a bit wet, but that didn´t matter. Have a nice trip to a beautiful place.

So I assume this is no good for rocky trails?

These were rentals with large wheels and OK suspention. Worked great for the conditions there, but not sure on more rocky trails
