Mountain Man Breakfast In a Dutch Oven

In this video we bring you along on our camping trip to Woolly Hollow state park in Greenbrier, AR. We cooked a awesome breakfast in our lodge dutch oven. It is pretty popular and it is called the mountain man breakfast! It feeds alot of people and not only is it easy but its a very fun way of cooking. here is the recipe strait out of the lodge dutch oven cookbook.
Mountain Man Breakfast 12 inch dutch oven
2 Pounds Sausage
2 Pounds frozen hash browns
8 eggs, beaten with 1/4 cup of water
2 cups shredded cheese
Over a full bed of hot coals, fry and crumble sausage. Remove cooked sausage and drain on paper towels. Using the sausage drippings in the pan, brown potatoes and spread them evenly in bottom of the Dutch oven. Place cooked sausage over potatoes. Pour eggs over sausage layer. Sprinkle top with cheese. Cook with 8 coals underneath the dutch oven and 16 on top for 20 to 25 minutes, until eggs are cooked.
Try this out and you wont be disappointed!!!

Not as ideal but you can use a glass Casserole pan and a oven
