I'd been looking for this for at least 30 years and it was just uploaded a couple years ago under the same search results I used 5 years ago. This shit upset the hell out of me as a kid. Still disturbing today. :)

Saw that in the theater when I was 4 years old in San Marcos Texas as part of the Animation Celebration… it made an impression on me that sticks with me to the present. We humans tend to get wrapped up in our own stuff and tend to get pretty carried away with ourselves.

I love Will Vinton’s work! May he RIP.

I found this to be incredibly disturbing when I was a kid in the 80s.

Used to catch this as a kid on HBO when it aired short films. I fascinated with claymation from day one but found out how hard it was and my dreams were shattered. 😂

Stoned in a theater in 1978 in Cleveland with a real beer in my hand. Mind was being blown.

This gave me the creeps in the 90’s as a little kid. Still does. It was the first thing I watched that gave me nightmares.

Mee Too! The horrified faces, then the aftermath with creepy altered music and visuals. It leads you in with such pleasantness and then shocks you by subverting it.

First saw this on Lunch Box on The Disney Channel, never fazed me. Later saw it on The Festival Of Claymation, still never fazed me. Instead made me admire Will Vinton's work. Never knew that this set was used in a beer commercial prior to this short.

I remember it from Lunch Box too. It wasn’t disturbing to me. I was like “Well, they got what they deserved.”

Just noticed that Rainer Beer commercial they used this set in. Made me wonder if the ad was before or after "Mountain Music", I suppose before given the eruption.

Wil Vinton and Jim Henson had sort of similar off-kilter senses of humor. Kind of sad that their media were so different that they couldn't ever collaborate on a project-it would have been classic.
Bwahahahaha...this is from about 50 years before the "Disney Channel"!

@@206BenJammin Not quite. The Disney Channel was created in 1983, 7 years after this film was released. Lunchbox on the Disney Channel started in 1989, 6 years after the founding of The Disney Channel.

To show us what we are doing to the world. It was given to us as a gift. With our own hands and without consideration we are destroying the world instead of keeping it safe and clean. This is what destruction of the world looks like.
