In the video I show one way of putting the sleeping bag back into the stuff-sack. It is advised though that when storing a down sleeping bag at home, as opposed to packing up for your travels, that you keep it out of its original stuff-sack. This preserves the quality of the down and its ability to loft. Thanks.

From the time you posted your review Mountain Warehouse have changed the design of this sleeping bag. It now has a central zip and is more like the traditional mummy shape. It has the same properties as the original design. This central zip is an improvement in the design. I bought one and used it when walking on the Appalachian Trail going northbound from Springer Mountain. I began in February 2020 when it was subjected to winter temperatures and associated weather. I did have to abandon my attempt on completing the walk owing to the Covid 19 pandemic. I did use a Snugpak silk liner to help keep the bag clean and myself warm (I am a warm sleeper). Despite it being a bit heavy the sleeping was a good purchase. I would recommend this sleeping bag to those who are not able to spend lots of "beer tokens" for their kit!

Brilliantly done review * Clear & helpful.For me personally,I too feel it is really important that the feathers are ethnically sourced.I couldn't wrap myself up in any thing being made through unnecessary pain & suffering .Thanks for taking the time & effort to share*

Having just walked past my local Mountain Warehouse which seems to have a sale on, thought I would look up reviews of their bags, hence I landed here. I do fancy the Alpkit bags though, which seem to get great reviews. I’ve subscribed to your channel and will work my way through all your previous videos too. I used to wild camp, but that was several years ago. I’ve decided to start again next year so have been watching many KZbinrs recently, to get in the mood and help me decide on what new kit I need. I have a lightweight tent and some equipment, but I think I deserve some new gear now ... just hope my wife agrees. I have made a few videos too, but like all of us, I am still learning

Hello Brian and welcome to the channel! I hope this and other videos you find on here are useful. KZbin is great for getting ideas for camps. Wishing you well as you rediscover the old passion. Speak soon no doubt. ATB👍Ben

Looks a good bag. At 6’2” & broad shouldered I struggle to find a good 4 seasons bag that is light weight & packs down to a smaller size. I’ve tried a few bags now but still not found the perfect one for me.

debating on this or a Snugpak Softie 3
@benhikescamps3 жыл бұрын
I don't know much about the Softie I'm afraid. My Everest down bag is still going strong two years after making this video. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for that comprehensive review. I'm a new subscriber and looking for my first down bag. Can I ask since it's nearly two years since the review, how has the bag held up? ATB

Hello Alan. Many thanks for watching my video and commenting. Really glad it helped you. The sleeping bag is still going strong and has got me through several cold camps - from clifftops in the south to the Peak District. You’ve actually given me an idea to do a ‘Two years on review’ video of this sleeping bag. Thanks v much too for subscribing. Hoping you enjoy my other wild camping related videos. ATB - Ben 👍

I have read that this bag doesn’t breathe very well, can you tell me if you had the same issue.

Hi Ryan. I’ve had no issues with breathability. Thanks for watching.

Probably zero.

@@benhikescamps and how did you find it? Did you sleep with a lot of clothes on or not? Reason I ask is because I've bought this bag for my ascent up Kilamanjaro and I'm hoping it'll be enough for -15
@benhikescamps2 жыл бұрын
It was fine at around zero but I’ve not tried it much colder than that. If I’m honest I would probably choose a different brand like Rab or something if I was sleeping on a mountain - just for that peace of mind.

@@mdobreecarey my husband used this sleeping bag on Kilimanjaro a few years ago and said it was great - kept him warm. He will be using it for Everest later this year too.

This sleeping bag is a joke, I took it to Everest base camp trekking trip and I ftoze most of my sleeping time.
@benhikescamps Жыл бұрын
It’s from a budget British camping supplier. I would never take the bag to Everest even though it says Everest on the side of it.
