Yes! Really like this type video. Would also like to see a review of your solar now that you have had it for a while. Is it too much too little just right. We are still reserching RV's. and like the 303 but not having washer/dryer might be issue for us in that are plans are to be on the road for 5months and in our retirement home in Florida 7 months. Hope to meet you guys next year
@MountainBeaches4 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve. So far the solar has been just about perfect. We've been on the road for about 6 weeks and I think I've started the generator twice and we stayed two nights at an RV Park with hookups. The rest of the time has been 100% solar. I mounted the panels straight to the roof with no ability to angle them and so they are not as efficient as they could be. As far as the washer/dryer, we totally get that. We've been good using laundry mats. It's nice to get ALL the laundry done at once.

My wife and I are looking to purchase a new 5th wheel. Your channel has been very helpful with choosing features we might like in a new rig. Sun Valley is probably my favorite place to be in the entire country. I spent a lot of time there as a child - Cathedral Pines camp. 💕 Stock up in Jerome area before going there because groceries etc are very expensive That laundromat is very clean but pricey One more thing about this area is that it's very popular to people who already knew about it so it can be difficult to find a spot a lot of the time. This is a pristine spot and I really hope people don't trash it

I have been there a few times. We went skiing one winter.

This was our first time at this location. Granted it was September but we didn't have any problem finding a spot. Many of the sites were open when we arrived as well as when we left 10 days later. I imagine summer is busier.

Nice video guys. Love that spot. I really like these Destination videos. Kim does an excellent job of going through local amenities. May have to go there in the spring. One thing to think about on your list is cost. Maybe even cost of the whole area. Some folks may really be on a budget 😀😃. Hopefully gas stays reasonable. Still looking forward to meeting you. Maybe next spring when it's not over a hundred degrees 😆😅😅🤣😃 Fun fact: me and my wife Tanya have a log book. We keep info of everywhere we go camping. Which sites are good ones. The site we had. We place a pic and a little story too. When the kids grow up you can remember things you never would have without it. Our kids are 19 and 24 and hardly ever go with us now. 😭. Just kidding I'm not really crying 😃. Be safe guys and enjoy yourselves. Ken don't over do it with your back.

Kim, great job on your first campsite review. Can you add where you dumped your trash? I know you don't travel with pets (Norm does not count), but since I do, it would be nice to know if an area is pet friendly. That spot I would assume it is, I will do research to make sure. I'm sorry, don't want to sound critical, just offering advice. Loved the text overlay and the way this is presented. I love the rating system, that is PHENOMENAL (get it, hehe).
@MountainBeaches4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion on pet info. Any public land Boondocking location like this will be pet friendly but that will be a good addition. As far as trash, we should have mentioned that too but there’s a dumpster at the dump Location for your trash.

Thanks for the informative video. It sounds like a wonderful place to camp. However, what amenities are there? You gave it a 5 star rating. I thought it was a dry camp.
@MountainBeaches4 жыл бұрын
Right it is dry camping so no actual amenities at the campsite. For dry camping the amenities would refer to how far things are from the site and what is available in a nearby town. So yes for the dry camping location just 7.5 miles out of Ketchum and with a free dump station and free water close by it gets 5 stars. Does that make sense? Thanks so much for watching.

Come on Kim, please dont share anymore camping in Idaho. The last couple of years way to many people coming here. The trash is getting disgusting, the people now coming to Idaho do not care about our way of life here. Bird Creek is our favorite (well used to be) nose trash everywhere. Let us in Idaho enjoy our beautiful state. Please?
@MountainBeaches4 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear your experience has not been a good one with trash in some locations. We have not experienced that. Bird Creek is one of our favs too. It was beautiful and clean when we were there in June. When we were up that way in early Sept it was closed as they were upgrading the campground! This location was clean and free of trash as well. We obviously love Idaho too. Thanks.
