I am a 80 year old man now but you cut and split wood just like I did years ago. I used a large stihl chainsaw with an Oregon bar and flat top chisel chain. I noticed all of the little things that you do that takes years to learn.❤

Dude! Love your videos! Reminds me of cutting cedar shake bolts and fire wood with my dad back it the 70s and early 80s! Dad always ran Homelite saws till later when he switched to Husqvarna. He had an old 1949 power wagon with a pto driven big ass winch on it, that’s how we yarded most everything. Great memories with my dad! Keep them coming bud!! I run a firewood show up in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. I cut primarily hardwood...Alder, Maple and Birch. Some fruit wood occasionally..Cherry, Plum. It's a way of life that I'm trying to hold onto as long as I can. Turning 60 in September..still out work guys half my age!! I enjoy your videos...and respect the hubby and wife team approach 💪🍁🔥

My dad was 80 and still cutting hardwood for others ( 20 - 30 cord a year ) he finally gave it up at 82 because of a stroke . You have years of life left in you .

I run Echo chainsaws. Cs800 p 32-in bar and cs7310 p 28-in I also have a 24 inch bar. The echo 590 timberwolt 20 inch bar. I can handle just about anything that comes my way. I get a lot of tree service wood here in the city.

Great videos buddy, love the channel! I side hustle firewood myself down here in Eastern Oregon, we still got too much snow for me to get to my good spots. Man I hate leaving a good log like that on the side of the road, most of the time its gone by the time I can get back to it. Is that a common issue where you’re at or is there a little more respect when somebody figures you’re coming back for it? Keep your chains sharp and stay safe!

It’s usually gone by the next day but mostly during hunting season (fall) because everyone is trying to get firewood… I have two cord 3/4 of the way bucked up and it will most likely be there in the morning… but if it was fall they would have it bucked and loaded by the time I hit pavement

You have to laugh when you think about how many times you touch a piece of wood until it actually goes in the wood stove. Been cutting and splitting for 25 years and it never gets old. Course i'm a lot slower now. Great video David. Do you run a stock engine in the saw or soup-ed up?

How much does a cord of wood weigh there? I’m in Texas and a cord of oak weighs about 4,000 lbs. if he did a 4’x4’x8’ cord, cutting, splitting and loading,he’s in damn good shape .
