Thank you for this one brother. I'm moving back to Florida soon and I have a 1997 Mustang I left that about to get a major overhaul. When I left I had a set of cloth 2015 seats I was trying to get installed. I'll be doing this for sure as soon as I get back.

Great video. I'll be using this as a guide for my 2018 seats into my new edge

Thank you for sharing this take on the install. I didn’t like the idea of drilling through the floor plan either. Did you ever install the rear seats? Looking to do both

I did, I've just been too lazy to stitch the video together and post it.

what ever happened to the 5.4? That seemed way down on power for what it had in it
@perfection5705 ай бұрын
@todds5956 the machine shop (J&K Machine in Gainesville Florida) that built the motor screwed it up big time. The mains were way too tight. The motor ate itself before it's first oil change (not the break in oil change, the first one after that). The mains feed oil to the heads so my Comp Blower cams were destroyed the heads were destroyed. I was able to salvage the crank, rods and pistons. I got a new block and started over. I traded the car for a Fox with a 331 and a turbo before the new combo was tuned.

You're welcome. I got the 2017 rear seats to work also. I've just been too lazy to post the video.

Did you ever complete the back seats
@perfection57018 күн бұрын
@talksondblock9483 i did, I didn't film it thought.

What’s the gap between the door and the seat? I’m having an issue where no matter what I’m doing the door is always hitting the seat slightly and moving it.
@perfection5703 ай бұрын
@4DownSkating it's pretty damn tight. My car has roll-up windows, so that could be helping me out with clearance preventing the issue you are having.

Did you get a new seatbelt or what did you do with the end that bolts on near the door?
@perfection5705 күн бұрын
I used the original belt and the latch that came with the seats.
@expr3sso8105 күн бұрын
@ ah okay what did you end up doing with the housing that has the end part of the belt that bolts behind the seat?
@perfection5705 күн бұрын
@@expr3sso810 i put the original bolt in the hole so water wouldn't come through it.

Did you do the same on the driver side? Gonna do the same on my 96 with 17 recaros
@perfection570 Жыл бұрын
Yes I did. I just used the passenger side for the video since it was easier to remove the seat quickly without the steering wheel being in my way.

@@perfection570 thank you sir! I’ll be crediting you in my new video. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Quick question... these seats sit lower i was told. Could you run a spacer to raise the seat slightly and avoid the need to massage?
@perfection570 Жыл бұрын
Not really. The seat is a little lower, but the back is taller. If you did a spacer, the head rest would be a little too close to the roof.

@@perfection570 thanks for the quick reply! Found a set nearby and torn on making these work or finding a stock set for a little less
@perfection570 Жыл бұрын
@@jamieruhland9362 I would definitely do these. Way more comfortable than stocks and really good looking too.
