Mounting a rail and red dot on the STOEGER M3500 | Step by step!!!

In the video, I'll show you how to mount a picatiny rail, and red dot to the Stoeger M3500. This is a newer model that has threaded insert collars in the drilled and tapped riser to fit 8-40 mounting screws.
Turkey season is right around the corner, this is one of my final steps before we step into the woods!

Red Dots are ten times faster to get on sight than looking down a barrel. Good job. Since the rail is made for a rifle too, it's rounded and not flat. So I ended up milling the sides down so the center of the rail will fit down in the receiver grove and not see daylight under it.

HI lee, always wondering how you like it. One thing about lock-tight, usually most manufacturers' colours, such as red are meant to not be removed and blue will release at a certain torque. This mistake can be costly. Use mine on an MK4 with great results. Thanks for the video

This mount has worked perfectly for several years. Taken turkeys and deer with it. Removed it this year for iron sights, but zero issues with the mount.

I run red dots on all 3 of my turkey guns. They aren't necessary, but man do they make life easier and take out some user error!

My stoeger has been a champ. It’s heavier than some other higher priced options but it’s an absolute work horse!

I have had a Stoger 3500 for about 8 years now, love it. No issues, no nothing, shoots everytime. I would highly recommend it for Turkey or anything else you want to do with it outside.

How do I remove the screw in the inserts

They have a flat head screw driver fitting and should be fairly easy to remove. Mine did not come with loctite in them.

On my 3500 I just used a pick and they popped out.

Is your M3500 considered Pre 2023? I just got my M3500 in bottomlands just like yours, but all of the sites say they won’t fit 2023+ models

I’m not sure on that one! I imagine there are different screw placements.

Yup! Depending on how touch your loctite is.
