Mounting of Quadro concealed full extension runners: Do-It-Yourself with Hettich

One part of mounting Quadro runners to wooden drawers is fixing the Quadro catches to the panel under the drawer using two screws.
If no pre-drilled hole line is provided in the furniture cabinet, you may mark the positions for drilling the holes. Always allow a space of 6 mm from the front edge of the mounting surface to the carcase edge. This produces a spacing of 37 mm for the front-most drill hole which is also the standard spacing for hole lines.
Now push the drawer into the runners. The catches automatically lock the drawer onto the Quadro for a secure fit.
Unlatching the drawer and removing it from the runners is just as easy.
Without the need for tools, an adjustment wheel now allows you to correct front-panel height by up to 2 mm, to give you perfect, neat gap alignment.

My Quadro push open soft close rails stopped working suddenly. It refuses to click in the drawer when fully closed, it just springs back open instead of holding the drawer closed. It looks like those thin pistons on the back of the rails are not working correctly. Is there any adjustments that got loose over time and can be fixed, or these pistons just failed after a year?
