I just bought this camera after watching tons of reviews like this to replace my aging GoPro. I had been using the GoPro for 2x timewarp driving recordings (30 minute drive results in 15 minute smooth video) I wish I had seen some review that would make clear for migrating Gopro users used to choice of speeds for recording hyperlapse (timewarp) that Ace Pro 2 doesn't have the same degree of freedom - it records in timeshift in a single unadjustable speed so your 90 minute recording results in a super fast 11 minute output video. I was advised by Insta360 to adjust the speed post recording in the app, but that adds time to my editing and the slowed down video is jerky. The camera is a disappointment to me in that regard.

The Pro 2 seems to be the clear winner, but having internal GPS is what I prefer in the rough water conditions I record in.

I would be curious about what if any additional battery depletion occurs when using a phone to supply GPS. Does the communication of data occur throughout filming, or is it just written to the video file at the end of recording or...?

It you have the ace pro2 mounted in your chest for mountain biking, how do you adjust your FOV if you don’t have a front screen????

Hey @MountMedia are you able to share some original samples - both photographs and videos? I would love to see the quality this camera can output, as you know YT downgrades all the content to be lower quality than original. Love the content, detailed reviews without omitting the negatives. So helpful to get balanced honest reviews.

I am someone who is looking for a video camera to replace my phone. But I just do not think these offer enough of a quality bump. Maybe they beat 16 Pro max slightly in over-all quality but I just do not think they are crisp enough to justify an upgrade.

Under water footage will show GoPros superiority in terms of colour. GoPros are renowned for looking more natural.

No more comparison the winner is Dji OA5 ang Insta360 Ace Pro and Ace Pro 2. Gopro is nothing. I'm a solid user Gopro since Gopro hero 8. But now so clear the king of action camera is Dji and insta360

No 10-bit color, weighs heavier than competitors, no larger sensor, no cloud storage /upload and delete option like go pro, and this year one less "budget model" released. No significant updates from insta 360 at all!!!

Yes, yes, Insta360 sent me this camera but...... Of course you all do this without any instructions from Insta360🤣. I didn't know that even this sentence was part of the instructions... but let's leave that aside. Let's talk about the facts. 8bit blurry as fxxx and a bitrate struggle without end. Details are muddy and look washed out. I was personally disappointed with the Action5, but the AcePro2 is godlessly bad
