I just see this in the homepage and I'm like (wow!) I need to watch this! ;) It's always nice having mudflaps on a car.

Great video. I installed a set of these Rally Armor mud flaps on my 2017 and they really are the best ones out there. Mine is a US car so there are some hardware differences, and you did a great job of noting this so your video will be super helpful to owners everywhere.
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
Jeff T Cheers Jeff, yes indeed with the couple of differences. I definitely wanted to emphasise those! I agree with you, any other flaps I've seen for the fiesta look a bit cheap!

Why are there differences? Confused.com lol

I just received a set of these a few days ago, and as soon as the weather gets out of the teens I'll be installing them, you did a great job getting the right angles for the video, other install vids make it hard to see what they are doing so thanks and I think they look great, im thinking of plasti dipping the bolts black to match tho
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
Hey Joe, It was pretty cold doing this install so waiting for better weather is a good idea! I will probs do something to make the hardware all black eventually too, just need to find the time as always :D Cheers!

Thanks Jon, maybe your cap has fallen out. Not a big deal?

Finally :) I love the look of mine! on mine I removed the front brackets as it was impossible to bend then to the contours of the car and doesn't make much difference to holding them in place the nuts alone are sufficient, on the back I removed the 2 foam spacers as I personally thought they looked a little tacky and didn't look to strong for durability still has a flush look imo they aren't really needed, for the back flaps I find the way they are fitted they always seem to have an inverted look like \m m/ so I adjusted mine to the most far angle they could go and look perfect so like /m m\ if that makes sense :)

All good tips. I am planning to do a bit of adjusting now that they have been on for a bit. Cheers!

Great instruction video as always but i like your car without it, it's a personal preferance i guess. What's next? Engine bonnet gas struts? Can't wait for it :)
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
alexbarquin9 Hi Alex, I took a punt on them and still getting used to the look so we will see over time. Bonnet struts maybe in the future but next up is something from Mishimoto 😉 Cheers for watching!

Happy New Year, Adam. You made that look easy but you lost me half way through. I'm looking forward to more of your videos during the year. I've been thinking about getting the Focus ST this year but the new Fiesta ST is out in the spring with an increased HP which I might go for instead, what do you think?
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
Andrew Lee Hi Andrew, with this video I was trying to keep the pace high enough that the length of the video wasn't too long (wasn't easy)
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
Andrew Lee I'm on the fence about the new fiesta st until I get my hands on it. They are putting out the same amount of power as my upgraded fiesta with a smaller engine which worries me for reliability and lack of tuning potential but as I say, I need to get up close and personal before I can say for sure!

change the bolts to black! would look cleaner 👌🏼😏

I just gave the screws and nuts a light sand and sprayed them with some black paint. They look much better now.

How are speed bumps with them dude? Had a set of RallyFlapz of ebay and they were literally scraping the floor, so took em off. Have you plenty of clearance from the floor?
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, speed bumps have not been an issue so far. I'm running fully stock suspension so not lowered at all. Clearance seems spot on. If I did get lowered then it might become an issue though...
@jamesstallard42527 жыл бұрын
If you reverse upto a curb will these hit?
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
That depends on the size of the curb and if you are lowered! For me, I am currently not lowered and park near what i was call average sized curbs and, while I am a little paranoid so tend to be careful and not go beyond the curb, one day the car was reversed beyond the curb and the flaps cleared the top no problem :)
@jamesstallard42527 жыл бұрын
Adam Rainey thank you for a quick and helpful reply as always! I'm hopefully going to get the mudflaps soon now as you have confirmed that it clears average curbs haha, was just my one worry about if I got them as where I park my car I always reverse up to the curb
@taxrin Жыл бұрын
Installation small part at 08.35 is it correct angle? On other videos of instalation they turn it other side. I mean the angle is either repeating the first mount under flap or going counterverse?
@AdamRainey Жыл бұрын
Mine is 100% correct
@taxrin Жыл бұрын
@@AdamRainey got one more question, since you got them for long time. Are they still fitted well, do you need to tighten them again after sometime?
@AdamRainey Жыл бұрын
@@taxrin I never had an issue with fixings coming loose or anything, although I did sell the car about a year and a half after so I can't really say beyond that
@I4NL7 жыл бұрын
👍 how is the mountune exhaust sounding?
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
Pretty much as described - significantly louder than stock without being too loud, especially at low revs. Can be slightly boomy at high speed cruising but nothing that isn't livable with and if you are doing the speed limit which I'm sure everyone is :D you can modulate the accelerator to handle the noise if you want to
@JackBous6 жыл бұрын
Is it the same on a Zetec S mk7? Or is it different bc of st side skirts or whatever
@MrTurbo_ Жыл бұрын
I find these do not stay in place well over time because of the janky bracket they created for the EU cars, I had them installed for about 2 years and needed to remove them because they interfered with my tire, not great, looking in to how to fix it now😕

Alright mate how long did you have to wait for delivery on your trc rear diffuser?
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
rick joel Hi Rick, it was at least a month. They only gave me a postage update a week later than originally billed and then only when I contacted them. The last email I sent them was completely ignored. Their customer service sucks unfortunately

Adam Rainey for the price of the thing you would think the customer service would be prompt and no time wasting

Car looking great Adam. How long did these take to fit? I lack the tools and room to do it myself but my local pro dealer is trying to charge 2 hours labour fees to fit them, saying they’re a bit tricky to fit them.
@AdamRainey6 жыл бұрын
A couple of hours isn't that ridiculous to be fair. There are a decent amount of bits to fit and you want them to do a good job and not rush it. Cheers :)

These look absolutely tits. Being in Australia, shipping kills the cost and I have contacted Mountune to see if I can order parts to save o shipping. I too have a blue FiST and to see these on a blue car before buying is awesome.
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
Cheers Fordy! Don't expect Mountune to help you out with that - up until the end of 2017, these were only available in the USA Mountune store which was also ridiculous for shipping and taxes to get to the UK. I was contacting them regularly for around 6 months to get them in the UK and they kept saying maybe until they eventually landed. If enough people in Australia show interest then they might get a batch though...
@fordyford7 жыл бұрын
Adam Rainey cheers mate. We have to buy through the UK or US stores so either way we pay a lot in shipping, but we son't pay the taxes I don't think so I guess that's how they get theie money back. I won't hold my breathe on a reply to my shipping querie now.
@AdamRainey7 жыл бұрын
Ah I see, that's unfortunate :( Well, keep at them about it and hopefully they will hook you up :)

I ended up buying a set. Do you think it is possible to fit these without removing the wheels? I have a dremel tool with a right angle bit and hope there would be enough room to get the job done.
