As always, awesome review. But I’m wondering, does popsockets sticks well on the surface of the mous speckled case? I love the design but I can’t not have popsockets on my phone. Thank you so much!! Love your channel.
@TheTechReviewer2 жыл бұрын
Hi @A! Thanks so much for your kind comment. My guess would be that the Speckled Fabric wouldn't work that well with a PopSocket over time. I just tried sticking one on, and although it seems to stick on OK initially, I think over time it might loosen. Plus, it might leave a mark on the Speckled Fabric. Finally, it will keep you from using the MagSafe functionality of the Limitless 4.0 case, which is a major downside in my opinion.

Great review! As usual. With the Fabric version, will a pop socket or a ring stick? Thank you!
@TheTechReviewer3 жыл бұрын
Hi Akthar. So sorry, but I don't think a PopSocket is going to stick properly on that material. I have no experience with a ring, but if it attaches in a similar way to the PopSocket, then probably not.

I wanted to be sure of 1 thing: can I be sure to have at least a little space between the center lip of the case and the sapphire screen protector? May sound odd, but what is the slick surface grip like, such as a glass table, between the aramid fiber and the the fabric? Is the coated fabric still grippier than the aramid fiber on those types of surfaces? I'm looking at this case, sometimes hand grip and surface grip aren't necessarily the same and surface grip is generally a little more important for me.

Thanks for the indepth comparison. In your opinion, is the Mous limitless 4.0 as thin or thicker than apple's leather magsafr case? Am using that currently, and just wondering the difference when being held in hand.
@TheTechReviewer3 жыл бұрын
Hi Justin! I'm not an expert on Apple's leather cases by any means--I don't have one to compare this Mous Limitless 4.0 case with. However, from seeing them in the Apple store as well as on other people's phones, I feel pretty safe in saying that the Limitless 4.0 is thicker. However, I think it is going to provide a lot more protection...Apple's cases are very pretty, but they aren't known for their protectiveness... Thanks for watching!

May I ask if you think the Speckled Fabric gets stained or damaged cut on?
@TheTechReviewer2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mikey! It feels like it is pretty durable. I don't think it is going to stain easily (and it would be hard to see if it did), but it is probably less durable than the Aramid Fibre variant...
@mikeye.7742 жыл бұрын
@@TheTechReviewer I never go for the Aramid Fiber because it’s too dark or just plain black but I know it’s technically the most durable one but if all the 4.0 limitless cases have the same technology besides the Aramid Fibre in the back. I’ll take my chances. I was just concerned with the material of the Speckled cause it’s a type of fabric. I used to have the Contour Red Leather case for my ip11. The material easily faded away cause it’s Leather. I just hope the Speckled Fabric isn’t as “sensitive” as the leather ones.
@TheTechReviewer2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mikey! I hear you! I don’t have any long term use data for the Speckled Fabric, but it certainly feels like it would be reasonably tough and durable.

Kristin, what MagSafe clear case would you recommend for iPhone 12 Pro?
@TheTechReviewer3 жыл бұрын
Personally, I would recommend the CASETiFY MagSafe cases. They have a clear backed, black sided MagSafe case that is quite excellent. It is available in two versions--the Impact, which 6.6 ft drop protection, and the Ultra Impact, offering 9.8 ft drop protection. You can go with a plain clear back panel, or choose one with graphics or custom text. Great case, with a pleasant amount of low to medium grip. Feels very secure in the hand. Here's a review I did on CASETiFY's MagSafe collection: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHPQXqhplMqibsk However, if you want something completely clear (without the black sides), then the Mous Infinity is a nice case...just not as protective, and rather slippery.

I just have to chime in with my personal experience…the Mous has been EXTREMELY protective for me! I have a 3 year old and twin 1 year old boys. Needless to say, my phone get absolutely abused by them. Thrown all over and dropped off of random things like the staircase. I have not had even a scuff on any of my phones with the Mous cases. These cases are made very well and although fluke things happen and phones can always get damaged…this in fact IS a very protective case while maintaining a sleek profile. I have been extremely happy with the multiple different models of cases I’ve had from Mous.

how grippy is it?
@TheTechReviewer3 жыл бұрын
The version with the Speckled Fabric backing is pretty grippy, due to the back panel, but the sides aren't very grippy. They aren't very slippery either...just somewhere in between. Overall, I would characterize the Mous Limitless 4.0 cases as low grip, but not actually slippery. To me, they are sufficiently grippy that I feel comfortable using them. Hope this helps, Justin!
@Corbob713 жыл бұрын
I love the grip of the Mous cases. It’s not overly “sticky” feeling but I never feel like I will drop it. For comparison, I had a rhinoshield case that was a great case but constantly felt like it was (and did) slip out of my hands

It’s the Silver iPhone Pro models that are more prone to scratches as they have no coating on the stainless steel frame,it’s only polished.But,the other colours have a coating which makes them more durable.That’s why I never go for the Silver even though I like it.I have the Graphite 12 Pro Max this year and so far no scratches after 6 months and I am always changing cases.

@mikemo9493 жыл бұрын
I’ve never tried Mous but Rhinoshield is trash now. I was one of their first backers when I had my iPhone 5S and their product was excellent. I bought all of their cases for my iPhone X and they threw quality out the window. Drop protection is a joke, the case goes on so tight that you end up scratching and marring your sides, and it’s just a difficulty to get it in and take it out. Mous seems similar but I can’t speak from experience. I’d honestly recommend Spigen.

Hi @TechProfessor! Mous and RhinoShield both make good cases, but they are quite different. Comparing the SolidSuit and the Limitless 4.0: * RhinoShield gives you a drop height rating for the SolidSuit (over 11 feet), Mous just characterizes the Limitless 4.0 as offering ‘Extreme Protection’-no drop rating. * The Limitless 4.0 is MagSafe, which is great if you are looking for that feature. It also comes in a very nice real Aramid Fiber back panel version, if you are a fan of that material, while the similar RhinoShield SolidSuit Carbon Fiber Finish is just a finish-not real Aramid Fiber or Carbon Fiber. The SolidSuit is also not MagSafe compatible. * The SolidSuit is great if you are looking for a lot of customization options. You can choose from 5 different case colors, or go for a leather, wood, carbon fiber finish or brushed steel finish. You can swap out your button colors. You can choose of the multitude of print options. And you can choose to make a custom photo case or custom text case. Lots more options than the Limitless 3.0 provides. * The SolidSuit is made of a BPA free, food grade polymer. No such claims are made for the Mous cases. * Both have a spot for a wrist strap. * Most of the models of both the SolidSuit and the Limitless 4.0 have the same amount of grip, which is not much. However, the Limitless 4.0 this year has one very grippy model-the new Speckled Fabric. So if you are into grip, that one might work out well for you. * Both have a nice tight fit on the phone, but the SolidSuit is much easier to take on and off your phone. * The SolidSuit is much cheaper than the Limitless 4.0 Hope this helps a little with your decision!

Hi Mike! So sorry to hear that RhinoShield cases have let you down. I started reviewing their cases with the 6s Plus, I believe and I've always been pleased with them...although I have a strong preference for the SolidSuit over the ModNX and CrashGuardNX.
