Very nice video, you earned a sub from me. I tried the second way without widget value, the problem i had was that when i press the play button, my mouse was dead, but the inverted button was working perfectly, but not return to normal. So i set in visibility and invert mouse variables to 1. And in the Toggle custom event i set the inverted? value to false and true for each false or true option. It worked then, i wrote the comment for someone who had the same problem with me. Good job!

Hey what about visible cursor sensitivity? I'm making a top down shooter with cursor always visible, which doesn't use any yaw, pitch or roll, but simple mouse movement

There are settings like "Input Yaw/Pitch/Roll Scale" in Player Controller, just so you guys know.

I keep getting a Accessed None error when trying to get a reference of the slider from the options widget while in the character BP, any way to solve this?

I was here before 100 I’m glad to see you doing well :) I was wondering if you had to learn “game art for your studies” and if so what does your blender or whatever software work look like I’ve been trying to learn the art for a while but it’s hard to set myself up a sort of curriculum

Thank you so much, I really appreciate all of your support over the past months!! :) And I use Blender, a good way I'd say to learn is to maybe find something or think of something you like, and see if you can recreate it or model it in Blender. Maybe even get photos and try to make them as well. I haven't done too much Blender, but something which helped me was creating a to scale model of the golden gate bridge and recreating it exactly to a photo. I don't know if this will help, but I hope it does. Thank you again for everything! :)

Great video. One Problem I am having though is that the settings don't seem to save once I leave my options menu from the main menu. Is there a way to save them?

@@pandagames3522 He means when he launches/runs the game and sets the sensitivity, the slider doesn't visibly save and stay in the spot he moved it to. it goes back to default value when you re open settings. Don't know why the only two people that commented on his question couldn't even figure that out lol

You could do this yeah. The slider would work the same way, set the minimum and maximum values to what you want and have it go into setting the field of view the same way.

If you want the hands and gun to stay at the same place when you change your fov then search up ue4 fov and there is one that was made by Jack French which also fixes weapon clipping and just use that material but turn it into a material function.

Just wondering, Im having a problem where my mouse sensitivity is higher when i have lower fps, and visa versa, I have multiplied all of these values by delta seconds, but it is still not working properly

Hey, this would be because the delta time is the time between each tick, therefore each frame. This means that higher FPS will have a lower value and visa versa, again therefore changing the speed dependant on FPS. We can alter the time between each tick so that it is constant if you would like, this isn't always recommended however as the tick is often used for making sure everything happens at the same speed dependant on different player's frame rate. However, depending on what you specifically use the event tick for, this could work for you. You can do this via the class settings in your blueprint and changing the tick interval. Or if that isn't an option for you, we can get a delay off of tick with a short duration, therefore having anything out of that delay always firing off at the same time no matter the frame rate. Hope this helps a bit :)

@@MattAspland I never knew that the delay from event tick worked like that, thank you! I have stamina and some other stuff on event tick at the moment, and I've just got it working properly with delta time, I just got confused when the camera didn't work properly, but thank you!

Okay no worries, if you open up the animation montage you can change the "Rate Scale", increasing this makes it fast and decreasing this makes it slower. Make sure you also update the length of your timeline to fit that too. Hope this helps :)

Is there a way I can lock the mouse slider to what the player set it to? I have been trying to figure it out. That way when they go back to the options they can see what they had before and then change from there.

Had the same issue. Get the "mouse sensitivity slider" value, drag out and get "set value" then plug the "mouse sensitivity value" into the "in value". Hope this helps! :D

@@nakobaev In the designer section select your slider, besides "value" press "bind" then "create bind", inside the bind you'll find 2 nodes, pin out from the first node with "cast to BP_FirstPersonCharacter (or third person), pin a "get player character" node inside the target of the cast, then pin out from "as BP First Person Character" and find your sensitivity variable, then plug it in the second node's Return Value. Hope it will work

@@FedosGames I found out what it was, you have to go to your BP of your first person or third and change the default value for the sensitivity float.
