I've never ever in my life had a problem like this! My stepdad has been in construction for over 35 years & has never seen what we are going through... HUGE RATS! We've had little mice before & it's usually winter & I didn't worry much or want to hurt them but these things I've got now, they are huge! The land behind us has been cleared for a new neighborhood plus we are on the line of city & county so there are dumpsters. 4 houses on my street are having problems! For some reason they are chewing up the hot water pipes, they ruined 2 dishwashers. Just as soon as my stepdad fixes a place they come right behind him & chew a hole again!! I'm gonna try this & share it! Wish me luck & thank you for the idea.

I made this and am not sure what is going wrong. The peanut butter and sunflower seeds stuck in it are gone, but there are no mice inside. I must have very smart mice! It flips nicely and goes back into place. Any ideas why anyone?

@@mousetrap2150 The bucket is a tall one, probably 2’. I’m wondering if the lid even flips down because the mice are so light. It’s a bit tricky to get the balance right so that the lid flips back to the horizontal position. Has no one else had this problem?
