Thanks for your content, I enjoy it. I'm returning to wow after a ten year break, used to play resto shaman the druid. I am enjoying holy priest but am struggling with a comfortable hotkey setup. Can you share details of your preferred setup e.g. which spells/macros do you have for each key binding? I've not setup many mod macros so am currently running an alt, shift and then straight up numbers hotkey e.g. alt+1-5 for AoE, 1-6 for single target heals and other utility then shift+1-6 for damage. It gets quite awkward. I've got a few spells on other keys like cleanse macro on ' and Renew on R (mainly for questing yo keep me topped up easily).

Welcome back! I use a Razer Naga, so I have 1-12 bound to my mouse, plus shift 1-12. I set most of my immediate spells to 1-12, and then any major cooldowns to shift 1-12 (partly so that I don't accidentally hit them). I haven't personally tried WoW's new implemented mouseover changes, but I've heard some negative things about it. I'm still using the Clique addon for all my mouseovers!

Long time clique user. Helps 100% in hps healing. I am returning to my druid for 9.2, what I'm struggling with is competing with a mistweaver monk and a resto shaman. I just can't pump out those number. The new guild I joined is planning on doing mythic, i really want in on mythic. Do you have any advice on how to not get snipped all the damn time. What am I failing at. I do have logs if you need to look at those.

Resto druid might be one of the worst classes (if not the worst) at getting snipped and being able to parse-especially if your raid group is overhealing. Mistweaver can snipe your tranq by using revival (whether intentional or not), and resto shaman has riptide and spirit link and other abilities that can take away from your HoTs. If you have a lot of healers in the group, I would just practice making sure you know when to use your abilities (wild growth, keeping lifebloom on the tank, using efflo, etc). It's incredibly frustrating, but our HoTs are also super useful on fights that have sustained damage!

I have just been creating my own macros for mouse over. If I get one of those add ons will that mess them up? Setting up a UI for alts that includes mouseovers has definitely been a barrier to trying multiple healing classes

If you’ve been creating macros in game through the macros options then the addon shouldn’t mess with them! If it does you could just take the macros you made off your action bars and replace them with the same spells from your spell book. The other part about Clique that I considered going over is that you can create different profiles for each character and spec! You’ll have to configure each healer class since they all have different abilities, but once you do that you won’t have to do it again :)

hmmm this seems very familiar to using healbot?...I found your video by wanting to see how to mouseover heal but I think I will stick with healbot since I don't have to push any keyboard keys...just mouse buttons.

I haven’t personally used healbot, but from my understanding they are very similar! You can use a keyboard or gaming mouse buttons to use Clique. The mouseover keybinds are not specifically tied to either a keyboard or mouse, just the letter or number that you assign to each spell. My rejuv is bound to 1, so I can use either 1 on my keyboard or on my mouse. I hope this helps!

I tried using an addon but I got worse at healing. I find it easier to just use wows own Ui and click at the members.

Vuhdo does have a mouseover healing feature, but it’s primarily a raid frames addon that requires players to use specific party and raid frames. I have other videos that discuss raid frame options :D I explain Clique in this video because it’s specifically for mouseover healing (which is the focus here!) and can be used with any raid frames (the standard Blizzard UI, Elvui, etc).
