In short, the whole game is a story about the suffering of the entire crew, and Curly suffered the most. What did he do to deserve this? He was painfully kind and forgiving and turned a blind eye to everything bad.

Not to say he deserved what happened, but he did do some messed up stuff to end up in this situation. It didn't come outta nowhere.

@@fruityfruitpunch another thing that also gets missed often is that he had been longtime friends with Jimmy, even though he knew about his questionable and erratic behavior he still chose to let him on the ship. He knew Jimmy was a risk and he still chose to take it, which eventually to the crews deaths. Additionally, he still let Jimmy into the medical bay and seemingly didn’t make any attempt to seperate the two after he assaulted her, as Anya asks jimmy to keep him from going into the medical bay in one of the flashbacks. I wonder why they kept a gun but not handcuffs on the ship. Putting Jimmy in a prison/handcuffs/confinement after what he did to Anya would have been perfect, but of course Pony Express is garbage at everything.

@@theerealist5990I agree 100% that curly should have done something- even with lack of cuffs or anything they had rope in the cockpit as well as FUNCTIONING CRYOSTASIS PODS? I know he'd been friends with him a long time but in all honesty I think he should have put jimmy in a cryopod for the remainder of the voyage as soon as curly found out that he'd been assaulting Anya. Safest for all parties, Jimmy's asleep which probably make Curly not feel as guilty for putting him there, and it would certainly be easier on all of the crew to not have to deal with that asshole being conscious.

​@@Cara_on_pawz Yes unfortunately. This is why such games are important to show the true nature of some monsters (still within some game developing boundaries of course). But still, he is a great CHARACTER when portraying a sick, twisted, unstable, disgusting manchild with an inferiority complex. And playing a majority of his game through his eyes, living his delusions and made up fantasies is beyond horrifying. I genuinely had to take short breaks once in a while, just due to how disturbed I was. Anya, Curly, Swansea and Daisuke also are all such tragic and well written, diverse characters too that they also deserve their own seperate comments. Moral of the story: Mouthwashing is peak horror, in fact better than most of the recent horror games I've seen.
