I don’t mean this in a rude way so sorry if it comes across as that but I was wondering why did you move out in the first place and not just wait until you bought your home instead of renting for such a short time ?

Possibly they were on a 6 month tenancy agreement, and got out rather than being tied up further whilst waiting for their house to go through. Once signed tenancies aren't that easy to get out of without notice dependant on contract and landlord/letting agency x

Hey lovely! Don't worry , not rude at all! so we actually weren't anticipating buying so soon! We had a 1 year tenancy on this place and just 6 months in, we found our dream home to buy! hence why we have moved but we also thought that the process would of gone through by now and that we could of moved straight into the new house but we have run into various delays is all but we had already handed our notice in for the tenancy x
