A dialed-in session! 💪 My goals in this series are to 1) stay even or ahead of my opponents on the clock, and 2) trust my decision-making. Follow along as I try to avoid perfectionist tendencies and apply pressure with the ultimate equalizer in competitive chess: the clock! #Chess #BlitzChess #ClockAsAWeapon

During the last game your opponent fired off his last moves so quickly that I was nearly sure you would lose on time. Was really surprised when the ending dialog popped up with the message that it was him who ran out of time. Very well done how you kept your cool under pressure.

John, just gotta say, I've been watching you for years now, and i have finally made it over 1700 rating on chess.com. i struggled in the 1400s for the longest time, and in the last couple weeks have breezed through 14,15, and 16, and am now hitting another teetering point between 1670 and 1720 range. But i know I'll break through here also eventually. I LOVE learning new things from you. Thank you for all you do for the chess community.

Amazing set of games John! I love seeing you smash it like that. Continue your mindset of trusting your instinct and keeping a time edge. In a lot of your games where you overthink, you often end up playing your first instinctual move anyway. I hope to continue seeing videos like this. We all know you're capable

At 24:28, (game 4), why not simply 33. Nxe5? Was it a calculation around tying black's rook to the back rank so it can't cause problems, or simply overlooked due to the clock?

I'm still a low level player so maybe you guys see something different. At 3:56 I was looking at Bb3, I think black's response is Bc4 and it ends up being even trades, so what if we played Rxe3, fxe3, Bb3. I think black still plays Bc4 and in the end its a rook for a bishop and knight and alleviates the pressure on f5. Thoughts?
