I'm getting used to seeing people in the box, just waiting for the horse to bite someone because the guard doesn't say anything. I have seen a few horses have a try when they get sick of people getting too close. I have to say that when ever there has been a female guard they always enforce the rules of staying out of the box. I'm hoping the LifeGuards bring with them some enforcers this weekend, sick of seeing entitled tourists getting away with invading the box.

John, some people who were a mask could have a medical condition as I do, I don’t like wearing a mask in public, but my immune system is so low right now, I was advised by my doctor to wear one in public due to a slight cold could have complications for me. So please be mindful not everyone wearing a mask does due to just being afraid! They have genuine medical conditions. There are cancer patients and other autoimmune diseases that make people just not resist as others. Let’s be very mindful before we make any comments please! We never know what someone could be going through with their health.

​​@@charlie4739 • There are cameras everywhere. Someone will be keeping an eye on the monitors. Other officers may well be attending a briefing session...as with the army, they're group sessions. Just because some MoD officers aren't visible in this video, it doesn't mean that they aren't present on-site. Edit. • The job of the armed police is to maintain security within the buildings and courtyard, and ensure the safety of the public. Their job is not to protect the boxmen or the footguards, but it does involve crowd control, which is why they are present when the horses are changed over.

Aggravation may exacerbate people, myself included, for getting over excited and may cause them to type a message that is retaliatory and inappropriate. I will personally try to cool my jets and I have got to remember the large number of tourists, some going the extra step and thank the trooper I am ordering myself to focus on the good ones. I think the worst day there I saw maybe 3-4 morons. And not that many after the lines were drawn. Thank God it is becoming rare. The horses seem safe. Long live Ormonde. I know you don't like viral but I would love for him most aggressive day followed by his attempt to bite the Lieutenant and he laughed. This shows how much the guards love the horses. How can people focus on the few times a horse is injured? As if it would never happen if. Horses were free. The stallion would fight for their harems. Often to the death. How many times do the horses step into holes and break their legs in the wild and suffer without medical care? What about a breach birth without mans help? People are irrational. And as I indicated in the 1st part of Mr discussion. I choose from now on to attempt to focus on the positive.

Funny how it is common in Norway and Sweden for prams to be lined up in front of shops with babies in them while the parent is inside shopping and no harm comes to them. I have recently worn a mask for 2 weeks because I was using a topical chemotherapy cream on my face which turns it an intense burning red and a blistered around my nose and mouth. I was extremely self conscious. Wearing a mask allowed me to go about my business without everyone looking at me in horror.

Interestingly, I have seen on occasion, a Life Guard Gates man whilst doing his rounds, instead of turning and facing the 2 Box men, would stay facing the peasant hoards and look back over his shoulder to his colleagues. Always thought that a better move than having your back to goodness knows who!

Horses pee REALLY clears the sinuses!😂. I loved mucking out in the winter. Mucking out the straw or shavings every morning, the wee patch clearing a stuffy nose and then warming your feet while stood on the steaming muck heap😁. If you’ve also ridden out you have the heavenly scent of horse sweat as well as urine and poo wafting around you. So funny/awkward if you have to pop into a supermarket on the way home before getting showered and changed. People edging away when in a queue 😂😂😂

Never ceases to amaze me how people stop directly in the gate entrance, blocking others from moving in or out. Clearly unaware of others. To tourists asking why guards & police ask they move back, how about-follow the rules while visiting our country… I do hope Ormond returns. I would be interested in hearing what the guards think about the boxes. Perhaps someday we will find exact reasoning behind the boxes - although I think everyone has a good idea of rationale. The volume of tourists is astounding. How the King’s Guard tolerate the sheer volume, as well the idiots, demonstrates amazing discipline.

And I agree with you, it was very uncomfortable for the Trooper in the tunnel. Glad to know that Colin is back, & on form. I don’t know about Charles the First haunting the first box, however; something is off with that box. Horses do not like the first box. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with the smell, structure, cobble stones, drainage, etc... Some of the horses clearly do not want to enter and stay in that box

Colin, once you've cleared all that nasty stuff they force on you in hospital, your diabetes may just taper off. Mine goes up when a colonoscopy is about to be done and then a week or 2 afterward it settles back to normal. Glad to see your appearance once again, happy days. Same here as some others posting here…….because of autoimmune diseases and the medications to treat them some people like me still has to pull out the ole mask to wear in crowded places…believe me its not by choice..I hate having to do it as I’m sure others do too because we know most don’t understand why anyone would wear one in 2024. It does seem ridiculous but not so when one is dealing with autoimmune diseases. Just thought I would take the opportunity to explain why anyone would wear an uncomfortable mask. Great video today…I loved the enforcement by the troopers.
