When it comes to containers, you usually put your lids in the top rack. This helps to keep the lids from melting. Also, never put regular dish soap in your dishwasher. Always use dishwasher tabs. You said it was your first time using it so just saving you a headache of cleaning endless bubbles lol

This was me shopping for a new washer and dryer. We went from a dial and start button to looking at washers and dryers with 10 buttons and new features. I was like what is that and is that really necessary? I thought it was just getting ridiculous with all the buttons. We don't have a dishwasher and are trying to move so I'm sure that will be my next learning experience. I haven't used a dishwasher in 17yrs.

Try turning the light fixtures/light bulbs off when you clean bathroom mirrors. The light dries the water/product you're using to clean really fast and that's why It streaks. It has worked for me. I suggest you try it too!

Personally I wash all containers, lids, bins, pots and pans by hand. I know it is a lot of work but I don’t want to melt the containers, lids, and bins. They also take up too much room in the dishwasher. I only use my dishwasher to wash dishes and silverware.

This will be me in the next few days trying to figure out how to use a dishwasher in our new home lol. Let me know if you have any tips for using it. I’ll be the first in my family too 😂 love your videos/content. 😊
@MarleneOrganization3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much & congrats on your new home! ☺️ As far as the dishwasher, find the manual for it or look up a video on YT 🤣 clearly I should’ve been the first thing I did but somehow never thought about it. We’ve tried out about 3 different detergents and the best one so far has been the finish quantum. Make sure you have the rinse aid liquid since that helps dry up the dishes, we also use the finish brand. Try to put any plastics on the top rack because the bottom rack is close to the heating element so it could melt them easier. Avoid putting any wooden items in there because they can warp. Knifes are also said to become dull if washed in the dishwasher but I haven’t had a problem, so you can put them in there if you want. Have everything face down and upright for plates with the slant facing down for the best clean. Don’t wash any uncoated kitchen aid attachments (so no silver ones only the white are fine) or they will tarnish (I learned this the hard way 🤦🏻♀️) Also, Dishwashers need cleaning as well so you can buy cleaners or use vinegar and baking soda every so often to keep it clean and running well. At the very bottom there is a filter that can be unscrew and cleaned out to keep odors at bay. (That’s a lot I know, lmk if a video would be helpful 😂)

We have a new build as well and our floors look like yours and we were told not to use a steam mop on it! Do you use it regularly? How are they holding up? I miss my steam mop! Lol
@MarleneOrganization2 жыл бұрын
We use it regularly but although our floors look like wood, it’s tile, so we have no problem using a steam mop for it.
