I just bought this on the bracelet with the green dial. It is a GOAT. I now have three omega and I keep saying I’m not an omega guy, but I guess I am.

I picked up this exact model at the start of the year (and, luckily, before the two price increases..) from my local OB and it’s one of my most worn watches, the pale hue of the gold is much more subtle than other 18k yellow gold. I’ve brought it as my only watch for a few shorter trips and it easily flies under the radar. I’ve tried it on the bracelet a few times but with the polished centre links it’s a lot of gold, if Omega offered a fully brushed moonshine bracelet I’d be all over it. I do think the green dial version looks fantastic on the bracelet though! Speaking of dials, one other thing this has over the Daytona is that the dial itself is solid gold too instead of a champagne tone PVD treatment. Very extra but if you’re going gold you should go all out right! 😂

@@JakeLutka I owned both but I sold 3861 a year ago. The proportion is bad . Too big , too round which makes the beautiful bracelet too small .

I have a bigger wrist so I went with the 44.25mm Speedmaster Two Counter Moonphase in 18K YG. It's as close to a daily as I have. Love wearing it. Everyone who can afford it should have a precious metal watch for regular wear.

Still prefer the look, Chronograph action, and wrist feel of the Daytona, but love the absolute legibility and utilitarian look of the Speedy. I am lucky to own both

Same. The Daytona wears so well (being ~40 wears smaller) but is hard to read. The Speedmaster is much easier to read, but wears bigger of course.

My AD showed me this Moongold Speedy, and if I were totally irresponsible, I would had bought it on the spot. Omega has a special uniqueness with the gold they use on gold and 2 tone. You think gold, and you typically think bling. I don’t know if it’s the brushing, or the gold mix you described, but it is much more wearable than yellow golds in many other brands. I don’t usually get hooked in with yellow gold like this did. Great job as always Bruce!

I think I highly prefer speedmasters over daytonas because I have thick wrists compared to the watch world. I love daytonas in pictures and video. On the wrist its different for me. Divers I used to not like just looking at pictures, but recently started loving them and how they look on my particular wrist.

I have this on the full gold bracelet, I’m now looking to purchase the rubber strap for it so I can change from time to time , probably be very expensive as I would want the gold clasp . I absolutely love the watch , I turned down a gold sub with the blue dial over the speedmaster. Very pleased I did

Aesthetically I love this speedmaster but would choose the Daytona just due to its improved practicality for daily wear - water resistance (screw down crown and pushers) and automatic movement

100% you are correct, my feelings exactly. I had own a 2009 Speedmaster Date with 100m water resistance and I sold it just because of no screw down crowns or screw down pushers. I thought it would be ok, but it wasn't and I got lucky when I sold it, I broke even. Thanks for your opinion and all the best.

I love all the history behind tue speed master and I have tried so many times to like it in my wrist but is just does not click, the Daytona on oyster flex is my grail, it fits me like a glove.

This is a helluva watch. Even though it's not on a bracelet. Wow! A bit out of my price range, unfortunately. And yes, this over the Daytona, all day. I'm not really a Daytona guy, luck for me, LOL! Yeah Bruce, you got it..I have the Speedy professional 8361..Moonshine gold with green dial and gold bracelet..41 G’s …I can’t believe I shelled out the money..but it feels so good on my wrist…Manual wind (no date) took some getting used to….and one more thing..this Speedmaster Professional is the No. 1 rated watch in the world..

I know completely 2 different watches but going between this and a Rolex skydweller, I have the Daytona. You can get a hell of a deal on omegas, and pay a grey market premium on the Rolex. Plus automatic vs manual wond. Can someone help me decide…lol.

It's arguable if this or the daytona looks prettier.. but at this price point I think Omega has no chance for most people. Gold daytonas are becoming more available as brandnew and less overpriced in second hand market, but they will continue to have much better resale value than an Omega... as the price point goes higher, resale value becomes more of an issue, in general. $8k speedmaster offers great value, this does not, despite its nice looks.

So i had the sedna full bracelet version of this and loved it but wanted this version here in moonsjone on a full bracelet. It was very difficult for me to even sell the almond bnib full set sedna gold on bracelet for 25k. I wouldn’t pay more right now than like 26/27 for one of these bnib on a bracelet.
