I love these dudes. Handsome well spoken men, talking watches. They get excited during the conversations, which makes it more genuine. It's kinda like 2 young teens talking about superheroes...that's the vibe. I love this type of content.

You are so right about the black dial dive watches. Each time a new video pops up about one, I just nearly throw up in my mouth.

I would say isotope is still micro brand but towards the high end of it. To become independent, in my opinion you have to have in house movement, reason being if you can't get a movement then you can't produce your product, that is being "dependent" on others.
@SaltyWatchCollectorАй бұрын
Very valid argument here. Would you consider brands like Ming, Kurono Tokyo, among others as micro dependent brands as well?
@chihoivanchin5157Ай бұрын
@SaltyWatchCollector well, Ming used movements from Selita to Agenhor where they modified the heck out of it and call it in house modified movement. Whereas Kurono Tokyo bought an entire line of discontinued citizen movement and modified it and calls it in house modified also. They are still currently relying on movements from suppliers therefore I wouldn't classify them as independent, but rather a dependant micro to dependant luxury brand (considering Ming's latest 20.01 really went all out to promote a high end luxury piece). I would name a few independents though, say Biver, F.P journe, H.Moser & Cie and Czapek. They produce their own horology from movements down to straps and down to screws even. Micro brands aims to become independent, but it's definitely a long winding and tough process. Either they end up being swallowed by big groups or they get devoured by the lack of market and revenue... which is really sad, as these micro brands often bring about new ideas and designs that can really give those big guys a run for their money.

Great Watch... Also the mirror finished alternative is very attractive.

Love the new setup. Just a few things to point out. No offense meant and purely constructive criticism. 1) unbutton your jacket/coat/blazer when you're sitting down 2) get your jacket/coat/blazer tailored. Small alterations make a HUGE difference in presentation. These are small things that may not matter to some but will be noticed and appreciated by those who do pay attention. 🍻

Huge huge fan of Jose and Isotope! I own quite a few models (I am up to 7 at this time) - including the Limited Edition Porto GMT, the hard to find "Blink" and very recently the Isotope Mercury Shadow. I have a Hydrium Alba Unique model, literally 1 of 1. And I expect delivery soon on a Moonshot Terra Maris. Please keep up the great work and the awesome customer service.

Nice looking, but the better than GS and Rolex comments went too hard. That’s a very mid movement.
@SaltyWatchCollectorАй бұрын
The finishing is on par it better with those watches described in the video. I've owned or currently own watches from those brands so I have real world comparison to go off of. The movement is not anything to brag about but is right up there with what many brands are doing.
@joemama-p2yАй бұрын
I own both as well and the finishing is not where near GS. A Hyundai is closer to a Rolls Royce than this watch is to GS. The comparison to Moser is not even worth commenting on. This is an advertisement without disclose
@SaltyWatchCollectorАй бұрын
@ unfortunately you've completely missed what was said in the video. In no way did I compare this actual watch to Moser. We said Isotope is doing things in the design that are similar to Moser. Also I compared this to a similarly priced quartz Grand Seiko. This watch definitely can go toe to toe with those watches. Thanks for watching
@joemama-p2yАй бұрын
They look nothing like moser, what are they doing that is similar? The only similarity is they tell time
