Do they sell that amp separately? It would be nice little amp for small kids who don’t get an amp with other brand guitars. I’m sure people would pick these up even if they already purchased a guitar. I’d have to imagine the amp alone would be priced at a steal given what the entire package costs. The guitar surely looks like a much better option than what Squier offers at the same price. I’d say it’s better than what they offer for even double the money. Glad they didn’t stamp the branding all over the place this time. The headstock alone and once and the gig bag is plenty!

I’m amazed what quality of instrument you can buy today for a very little bit of money. When I started playing in the mid 1960s 99% of low priced guitars were almost unplayable especially the electrics. Yes Fender and Gibson were there but for most unaffordable and only a dream (wish I could go back and buy some of those “unaffordable” guitars). I think playing those terrible guitars made you try harder and perhaps a little stronger just my thoughts. Play on!!!

Those little amps are fine if you don’t expect them to be something they aren’t. For practicing by yourself they are good and convenient and take up no room.

Looks more like a Yamaha Pacifica than a Strat to me. Beginners need good rigs to learn and not be discouraged. A big thumbs up. Now, if only playing like you was easier...

That's interesting that Fesley changed the shape of the strat. Just thinking out loud but as these budget guitars keep getting better and their market share increases the Big 2 might start going after them for the shape of the guitar. Fesley making their own shapes might be them thinking long term.

I think Fender is SOL on body shapes, only headstock shapes are protected. They waited way too long to bring suits to court. Gibson has a lock on many (maybe all) of their shapes. I would like to see companies making more of their own designs anyway, there is room for improvement over some old designs anyway. Different styles are nice to see as well.

If I had to guess its probably more efficient to cut the input jack socket location on the bottom instead of routing out the top. i agree with you I like it better in this location.

You need to think across all S type product lines when it comes to manufacturing. If this isn’t an entirely new body I would guess they are just using the same exact bodies on their other super Strats , carving out the heel on the CNC and dropping in a pickguard, but who knows.

I would buy it over a Squire. Squire has a lot of competition finally and I have a Squire strat but I also have a after market telecaster.

This is a saturated market but they are carving their niche. I like slightly smaller thinner, lighter guitars essentially a Dinly for Strats on,y company that has one that is high quality, low price and innovative is Levinson guitars it’s called the Sceptre, to bad they don’t sell in the US.

No, not the return of the pooplar body. lol Looks great, sound good. I do wish the pickups had a bit more output though, maybe in the 16/6/6 range. But for $180, who cares? $50 in pickups (maybe) and you get what you want. Great video.

A Chinese guitar branded as Corona series is hysterical. I will say that looks like the best model I've seen from Fesley. My only complaint is the pickup cover over the humbucker doesn't look right. I've seen quite a few guitars being made like that from other brands. I think they should cover all the pickups or none.

Usually buy Harley Bens cause I’m left-handed but I got a Kramer with the HSS they say they’re optical fives. I took it apart. They’re not so I’m waiting for two more parts. I’m gonna do an upgrade on that sucker not gonna look like the ones that everyone.

@@bluwngyou may be right. The last 2 fireflies I have gotten have been crazy good. What is interesting to me is that they are both writhing 10-20 bucks of each other with similar specs. I suspect that FF would win out with the Albino V pickups and the SS ball end frets.

@@newmexicosaint frets maybe. Magnet type really has nothing to do with quality of the pickup has more to do with output and that also depends on how it was magnetized. A pickup requires all its parts to define its frequency response. Don’t repeat things the guitar community say, most have zero technical background and believe everything they are told. Be a critical thinker.

I got a Fesley two days ago, and the frets are horrible. The tuners are atrocious, The nut is not cut right, and the strings lay on the fretboard. I'm not putting all that work into fixing it, so I'm sending it back tomorrow. I ordered another Firefly instead. I'm just wondering if they're sending out their best to KZbinrs, because there's only been about two channels I've watched where they were honest about the Fesleys. Not sayithst you aren't, but if they sent it to you, then they probably had it set up. Edit: I noticed Westcreek has got a new Strat style out that seems to be alright. It's got a big tremolo block and alnico pickups. I got one of their Revenges a few months back, and surprisingly, that's my go to guitar! I'm a Strat guy, but I play that Revenge more often than my Fender Strat. It was perfect out of the box, surprisingly. The tuners are crappy, but I'm gonna buy some locking tuners for it. Once I had locking tuners on a guitar, I can't go back to regulars lol. It's so much easier to change strings. They supposedly have a Tele style out as well, but I don't think it's available in the States just yet.

First of all, it wasn't perfect. I had to turn the truss rod a lot to lower the action. Second, I've pointed out flaws in previous Fesley videos. Third and most important, I bought this on Amazon so it wasn't a special one. You suggest that youtubers are receiving better guitars because yours wasn't perfect. Well all of mine haven't been perfect. And then you say that the Westcreek you received was perfect out of the box. So doesn't that prove that it's possible for other people to receive guitars that are perfect out of the box no matter what brand? With these budget brands, there will always be some that are perfect and others that have minors issues or even major flaws. It's just the nature of it.

Definitely seems like a nice package for the price. The guitar looks great. Truss rod adjustments right out of the box would be a no go for me. Beginners have no business adjusting truss rods. A 5 minute check at the factory should have caught that. Unplayable right out of the box. I think they can do better. Great video as always B.S.

You do realize the guitar gets shipped from China to an Amazon warehouse somewhere and then to your house (most likely all different climates) - I can pretty much guarantee it's gonna' need a truss rod adjustment. No need to fear - Adjusting the rod isn't rocket science and is one of the first things a guitarist should learn to do. If you base buying guitars on the fact that they might need an adjustment when they arrive, well then ...

I had already been eyeing that exact guitar just yesterday. But I can't pull the trigger because it's not a Floyd. Why oh why can NO one seem to make a budget guitar with a Floyd ???? I hear you haha... my first was an old Framus semi hollow body electric that my uncle gave me... looked like a damn BB King guitar. But this was in the mid 80's and I was into metal. So I saved up and bought a red Charvel with a single humbucker. I still miss that guitar and wish I'd have never sold it.

Me Too! In 1983 I bought a Cort "Effector" from the Sears catalog. It looks like a white Gibson Explorer with built in effects on the guitar. I still have it today.

I think for kids or poor people, it's fine. Maybe. But it has the fake wood and small fret thing. There's just so much competition - including on your channel - that has real rosewood and frets. Also, 4k neck pickup is not ok.

I have a question Richard. The Monsoon of course is reverse headstock. Soooo if you order locking tuners..... Do you need to order Left handed ones instead of right handed ones to compensate for the rev. Headstock ?

Yes. Make sure you get left handed tuners (often marked as 6L). Otherwise the little hole for that screw on the back won't be in the right place.

Ibanez body, strat pickguard, peavey headstock,.not a bad combo other than the volume knob is still in the way... is that a 3 way or 5 way?, 4.5k? sounds a little weak, does it squawk? its sorta got it but with that fuz it's hard to tell when you play in pos 2, like if it's in position 4, where i play all my bluesy mystic leads,. .thats gotta drop the meter down to 1.8-2.2k , does it sustain at all? like can you play some pinkfloyd type leads and it holds the note a full 8 bars?
