I've been looking to make something like this, I want my sleds off the ground when I store them to let the springs relax. This item looks like it relieves the pressure off the skis and the track, which is exactly what I need. Not sure if it's worthwhile trying to make one though, thanks for the demo.

Eazy Move snowmobile mover works very well too. It’s very compact and moves heavy sleds easily. It slides from the side and balances the sled.

They work great but you do have to make sure that the lift pad dimensions work with your machine, especially if you buy used because the older ones may not fit to the modern sleds. My older dolly fit 90's trailing arm sleds and I made a adapter for leaf springers. It wouldn't lift the last and tallest suspension of the trailing arms to usable height without some extension blocks. The big pneumatic tires are crucial for terrain.

True comments for sure. The lift pads move in and out quite a bit which is a big plus with the variety of sleds I've used it for (some 1990s sleds and up). The biggest challenge I've had with older sleds is finding the best position for the lift pad that doesn't have it directly under and pushing up on the exhaust in order to get the right balance. There's some wiggle room but if that thing is too far forward or too far back, I end up having to lift on one end or the other to get the sled to teeter well enough to be pushed, requiring a bit more effort but still easier than without it at all. And if the tires aren't a good tread and properly inflated, then forget it, may as well not be bothered with it at all. Thanks for your comments.

1:34 I know a guy that put a retaining chain on his instead of the nylon strap and he "LET IT SNAP UP TOO FAST". The chain came back and smashed him in the head.

I'm pretty sure it would. The sled in the video is a 144 track. There's still some length in the handle that I think it would work for the longer sleds.

It a modified 800 Skidoo Renegade Enduro. Modifications were a taller track, handlebar riser, windshield, wider skis, and of course the wrap. : )

Don't worry, it moved - as easily as I pushed it at 2:20 into the video. I pushed it out of the garage. The camera just doesn't move with it and I wanted to be in the screen.

I quit my high paying job five years ago, divorced, sold my house, sold all my toys and bought a bigger boat that I can't run unless doing a charter to pay for the gas. This thing is fatally flawed. You could launch a watermelon into the next county with the amount of potential energy in that handle.

BEWARE!! I have one identical to the one in this video and its cheap junk, for some reason the manufacturer pinched the tube down flat from the handle where it's welded creating a weak spot. On heavier sleds like a older triple or big 4 stroke the handle will just bend and fold over like spaghetti and will not lift the sled and becomes usless...junk! Buy the heavy duty ones with the skinny solid wheels, they cost 3x more but you get what you pay for.
