Moveable Demon wings WIP

These are our current project they are being made for Black Wing Erza but I am happy to say are rig works and can't wait to see these finished now.
I wanna thank gryphern for her awesome how to Make Dragon wings video and her sketches on real wings and how they work. We used it for a general on how we made ares but we changed the design a bit so it would work for wings going out to the side vs. straight back.

Maybe this is asking a lot, but is there a way to wear those wings (in the rested position) and freely move your arms when you want? Like a switch of some sort, so you could move the wings out when you want instead of having to keep your arms close at your side so they won't move.

I'm thinking thread the strings through a belt loop, possibly? they have the strings on a bracelet, so i would put a small string or hook, and take off the bracelets and hang them there, open.

how do you transport these? i’m making a set like this for anime expo, but i have limited car space :,/ the pvc pipe is attached with epoxy and screws to the plastic board, but could the thinner pipes be unscrewed while in storage? or is it really just a “if you have the space for this” kind of project?

Thinner pipes can be unscrewed they would still be attached due to the wires but could compact more if you would unscrew them. These still sit actually just like that in my parents basement atm they dont take up much room

I think so on the over extended piece use an eyelet and then attach it to wooden dowel with an eyelet

It's good for standing in place and in green-screen. Issue is, if you actually wanted to flap the wings you have to move your fingers. Overall, this is possibly the best to make these Wings to appear real.

I see how it works. Strings from the point of the wing are pulled from the gloves and make them shift :)
