THIS WORKED FOR ME! I’m a 48-year-old male from the UK. I developed what I soon realised was vertigo on a Friday evening whilst laying in bed. It was horrific, spinning followed by vomiting more spinning and vomiting. I’ve never felt so out of control in all my life, completely debilitating and exhausting. This went on all weekend until on the Sunday when I was able to sit down and have a look at some KZbin info on the condition , I found the Epley manoeuvre and gave it a go immediately twice on the right side with no obvious effects and then once on the left. As soon as I rolled my head over I could feel the spinning and my wife said that my eyes were twitching like mad, I just managed to control it so I wasn’t sick. I went through the manoeuvre holding for 60 seconds in the 3 positions, until I eventually set up. I still felt terrible and it didn’t immediately stop the nausea side of the condition so I went to bed sat up slightly. I woke up at 2 o’clock in the morning for the first time without the room swimming in four days I could’ve cried! I rolled over where I would normally have been back in a flat spin. I went straight back to sleep and woke up like nothing had ever happened. Thank Goodness, my relief was insane. I’d encourage anyone to give it a try.

That was me this morning I felt the room spin a little when I first lifted my head up. Then went for a jog and whilst doing my shoelaces up I nearly went over. Got back and sat down only to be violently sick it was frightening. Can't believe I found this video so soon compared to other people. I threw up the first time I tried it but went the other way second time and I'm here to tell the tale.

Tried this - and it worked..!!! Word to the wise: do this on an empty stomach. Each step of the maneuver did make me a little dizzy. The vertigo was gone though - and hasn't returned.

I have to give a thumbs up for this maneuver. In July 2023 I had a bad case of my head (and things around me) spinning. Whenever I looked up or laid down and moved my head, all around me was spinning and had me really disoriented. I found this video online and tried it. I almost couldn't believe it but I had instant results. This maneuver really works! Anyone with these symptoms should try the method, in the event loose crystals is the problem. One caution - be sure to do exactly as they demonstrate to the extent you do the maneuver at least twice and if you have to lie down over the next 24 hours, do not lie flat but be sure to stay 30° elevated as recommended.

When I was released from the hospital, I went to a hearing and balance center. They performed the Epley maneuver on me, and after the procedure I was completely free from severe dizziness and nausea for several years! The great thing about this technique is that it can be done safely by anyone! When inner ear crystals become displaced, that's when dizziness and vertigo sets in. In short, the Epley Maneuver does work when performed correctly!

Thank you a very clear description of how to do the manoeuvre. Just had my second episode of Vertigo this week. First one was in Jan this year and as on my own & in my 70"s it was terrifying. Thought I was having a stroke. Really feel for those who have had this as an on going condition.

The Epley maneuver usually helps my BPPV immediately! I bought the Dizzy Fix stick to help me do this maneuver at home. Yesterday it worked perfectly, but I laid flat to sleep which allowed the crystals to venture back into my inner ear canal and cause dizziness today. So I have been repeating the maneuver, watched this video so that I and my husband could make sure we were doing this procedure correctly. I believe we have it down, now. just to get those pesky crystals back into place. This is a very good video of the Epley maneuver! Thank you!

THIS IS NO BS AND TOTALLY LEGIT! I had terrible vertigo. I was referred to therapy and had a slightly modified version of this done on me. The initial "finding out which side was affected" part wasn't done, and I had one side worked on. The next day the vertigo was the worst ever. The following day (2nd day after first visit) I had another visit and the other side was done. Immediate cessation of all symptoms.

This worked on the first day for me and I’m extremely thankful! My issue was the left side and like so many I just woke up one day extremely dizzy. After watching ALL other vids on this health issue, this was the best & most easily explained, well done. Only small comment would be if rolling over as per your example a lot of people (I'm 68) would probably fall off that table with their head down, I think on a bed was easier for me with no chance of falling off. Take care.

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, the anxiety of rolling off the table is there for most people. When you are doing it yourself, the bed is definitely preferred. Thanks for commenting!

One of the most interesting things about this is that I've been to medical doctors (ENT, Neurologist, Oesteopathic doctor, and I'm sure others) for years about this issue and they've pretty much told me to try everything and that nothing is wrong. I have learned through this that when it's not something that medicine needs to or can fix there's "not enough research" for it but that doesn't mean it(the method or procedure) doesn't work. In fact, thank God for therapists and this Physical Therapist. I feel the difference already.

Thank you very much for posting this video.I’ve been dealing with this issue, on and off, for several years and thought it might have something to do with blood pressure or acidity levels after going through your exercise on the right side this morning, I managed to recreate the same uncomfortable symptoms that have forced me to wake up with feelings of nausea, dizziness, and almost as though I am out of breath. Unfortunately, though, when I turned my head to look vertically straight up, it was unbearable, and I was hoping you could give me some advice about how to persevere when you have very strong symptoms. I’m stuck in China and really certain local professionals won’t know what to do. Would appreciate your advice.

@@MovementProjectPT Way more than enjoyed, was out of state on vacation and had to go to the hospital, was losing balance, vomiting and becoming downright delirious at times, I thought it was some kind of kidney thing (only running on 71%), or other brain discrepancies, the Doctor ordered an MRI to check for stroke, but the Doc came back after all tests and said he thought it was Vertigo ( I thought he was wrong), got home a day later looked it up and found this video, did it 4-5 times and was like... WT... well, you know, and don't have that tipping to the back corner, or any of the other symptoms, I still can't believe it. Had it for 6 weeks, kept getting worse, any expert etc. that says this doesn't work does not have my respect, they are biased (never had Vertigo)...
